How much creatine?

I bought some new creatine from GNC it is called creatine explosion by nutri science. On the container it says to take one scoop an hour before every workout, but from what I have heard you only need 5 grams a day. The scoop is 40 g. Is that the wrong advice? How much should I take?
 
The scoop probably isn't all creatine, no doubt their's sugars and flavoring. The entire thing totaling 40g.
