How do you view the forum

Im trying to figure this out since it seems the way I do it, would be the way everyone else would. It drives me crazy if I send a pm and that person is online, but hasnt responded.

Anyways here is what I do:

1-come to homepage
2-login
3-look at pm indicator (respond)
4-click user cp to see if any posts I have responded to need additional attention
5-click new posts to see if any spam is present (if I am a mod)
or too see what is new
6-then i browse around by category

Isnt this what everyone else does??

I stay logged in ad infinitum. I usually use a scripted interface to look at threads I've posted, followed by threads I've participated in, in order of # of replies. Then, if I have time, I click on the site's "new posts" button and browse through that shiz and try to answer a question or two to the best of my ability. I don't think I've ever browsed through by category, except when deciding where to put a new post...which I've done a grand total of..once, so far. :p

I don't get a **** of a lot of pm's that aren't random people saying hello. (What's up with that ****? Not that I mind..I'm just asking.) But, if what you're asking is do most people read their pm's and respond quickly? Sure. Only thing is, in my case, I wander to and from my notebook/pc constantly, so it's usually in the neighborhood of 20 minutes before I notice any new messages. Perhaps this holds true for others as well.

..good question. I'm quite curious about the replies. :)

I come on, look to see if I have any PMs, look through the front page to see anything suspicious. Look at who's online to see if anything on there looks suspicious, I read a few threads (and even post sometimes :p).

I have a bookmark to my PM page and I'm automatically logged in.

check my PMs, then click new posts. then open any posts I want to read in new tabs. If I miss a day it can be quite long getting thru 40-60posts, but I do scan every thread unless I can see that a mod was the last person to post.

generally I would just click on new posts and then go through them to see if there is anything that is of interest to me or if there are any threads that I have posted in (except for the masturbation thread, seriously I don't care how often you jack off) and then every couple of weeks I might remember to check if I have a pm.

The other thing to remember is that most people will generally only check their pm's when they log on, so if you send them a pm while they are already logged on chances are they might not see it, that or they might just not want to reply to you:D

I'm always logged in but I check to see if I have any pm's and then I look to see if anybody has posted in the women section. If they have I look and see and post if I can. Sometimes I might look in the other sections and post here and there but I mainly stay with the women.

I usually log in, realise that I have no PMs and nobody loves me. Cry for a bit, recompose myself and then update my diary. Have a look at the new member intro section to see if there is anyone I want to respond to (with something other than just 'welcome') Then I'll start browsing around for any interesting new topics or search for anything specific I might want to read about.

You dont have to check your PMs manually, in your options you can choose fitness.com to automatically email you when you get a PM. Or, you can have an allert, so when you log on a box will pop up if you have a new message.

Home page
Look for interesting posts
Sign in if I want to chime in
Realize I have Pm's sometimes (which I hardly get any)

I'm always logged in so I click on my homepage button and from here, I look to see if I have any messages. I then go to the threads I usually post in and lurk, if not post. I then do some PMing and lurking and posting. Then I keep PMing, lurking and posting. LOL

Similar for me too. I have the link under "favorites" and am always logged in. I very rarely have PMs, so I might glance there, but not often. I click on "New Posts" and see what's up since the last time I was on.

In the user options is now an option to have a pm popup notification. When you receive a pm and your on the site, a message will popup letting you know. This is great for mreik!

I check these forums with my blackberry, I have it bookmarked so I am auto logged on.

I auto subscribe to any thread I post in or start so I get a instant email to my phone when someone replies or makes a new post.

Fitness on the go!
