how do you get 'harder' muscles? when they aren't tense?

basically what the title says.

I heard that there are supplements that can make your muscles harder but I don't really believe that they work.

How can you get them harder when they aren't tensed up instead of them being all squidgy

I think it has everything to do with body fat. Lose the body fat and there will be less squishy-ness between skin and muscle...

You need to lower your body fat down to 8-10% for "hard" muscles. Do this by cutting out all junk food, eat in a calorie deficit. Eat a high protein, low carb diet. Also make sure your Weight Lifting so you can preserve muscle. Look into "HIIT" also.

You're probably referring to the NO2 products out there. They do indeed cause blood to flow into the muscles, giving you a short lived 'pump'. that's all those NO2 products do. there is no other benefit to actual training.

but they keep selling because its one of the few 'supplements' that you can actually feel/see, and it works in about 30 minutes.

but it doesn't DO anything useful, so its just a waste of money, unless you're into vanity.

No don't worry I am not planning to spend my money on that stuff.

The only supplements I am using (when they get delivered!!!!!)

are

EAS Myopro Whey protein

Optimum Nutrition pro complex Gainer

Chewy blackcurrant multivitamin (one Daily)

Omega 3 fish oil (one Daily)

along with regular meals, lots of tuna, chicken, mackeral, sardines high protein foods etc.

Anything I am missing from my diet supplementation wise?
