How do I find a Personal Trainer in m y area?

Hello! I'm new here, and I have a goal to lose 50 pounds during 2006. I lost 50 pounds several years ago, but have since gained them back. This time, I am losing weight for health reasons - I have high blood pressure issues and my lower back hurts and I just don't feel good anymore.

My husband bought a Ultimate Bowflex a couple of years ago. He's done great with it, lost weight, toned up and looks years younger. Now I want to start using the Bowflex myself. I do not want to pay for a gym membership - I have everything I need at home - a Bowflex and a treadmill. I even have a few free weights and an exercise ball, and everything is permanently set up in a spare bedroom (complete with TV and stereo).

For that reason, I want to hire a personal trainer that can work with me at my home using my Bowflex. But I can't find one!! I've tried the gyms, but you have to be a member and you have to work with the trainer at the gym. I've tried looking at the personal ads. I've tried searching the internet, but I still can't find one!

Any thoughts on how I can find a personal trainer willing to come to my home?? I live about 20 miles south of Seattle.

Thanks!

ask CRAIG of course

Craigslist - under services, there are always a ton of personal trainers advertising their services, prices, deals, and they usually list their certifications. I would ask to see their certs before agreeing to anything though...you never know...

NO! go to the NASM site and find a trainer!!! Wait a minute... they don't have a search function... Dang! :p
