How can I work my pecs with dumbbells without a workout bench?

I am a broke individual, with very small space in my apartment.

I currently use 2 dumbbells, 20 lb. each. What workouts can I do to build my pecs when I do not have a bench.

What I basically do now is lay on the ground and do whatever I can like dumbbell flys and dumbbells presses. I started working my pecs about 2 weeks ago, so I think the problem they aren't well built is because I neglected them.

Just need some extra input. Thanks.

My new workout consists of a variety of compound workouts, and isolated workouts for those areas that do not get as much attention (such as the trapezius)

Now all I need to work on is my diet, I am still searching on info of a good workout diet, not to mention I am limited to 3 meals a day instead of 5-6 small ones.

uh... wtf... so are you saying you work out your ENTIRE body with 2 20lb dumbbells???

20 lb dumbbells will probably be too light to do any much of a workout to your chest either... You can't even afford a bench?! oh my lord. I think the best thing you can do is dumbbell flys on the floor and that would still not work that well. Just do push ups. I think that would be best

Incorporate bodyweight exercises, like pushups ( a number of types ), chair dips, lunges, jump squats, etc.

look around here for ideas...

why only three meals? almost anyone can eat for cheap. eggs are dirt cheap, bread is cheap, tuna is cheap, chicken bought in bulk is cheap, etc.

My job takes up my entire day, and that job limits meals to lunch. Eating a meal during our worktime is frowned upon.

I will probably need something I can chug down quickly while actually doing the work.

You could, for your chest, place 3 chairs in a isoceles triangle and do low push ups (going right down) on the chairs. Find something to hold the dumbells on ur back if u can do more than 15 in one shot (which you will be able to)

Thanks for the tips.

I am not THAT built yet. My definition is starting to show with every passing day, but I still can benefit ALOT from pushups alone. I do not need to go beyond those 2 dumbbells yet, and when I do I will jump straight to 2 30 pounders.

Calm down. If he can't afford it. He can't afford it. Not everyone makes, or their parents make enough money to be able to afford everything they want.

Try pushups, and only use the 20 pound weights when you feel tired after using them with about 10 reps.

Buying another 20 pounds for each wouldn't cost most, and it would help a lot... Try that.

I know what it's like though. All I had for the longest time was 5 lb weights, I made due, and made my own weights out of buckets of water. Huh.. That was about 2 years ago though. Now I have weights.

Do you pay for your house, car, utilities, and any other living expenses as well?

Get it through your head, not everyone can afford it.

You told him...yeah I am struggling to pay for my car insurance and all that...joining a gym would probably kill me. I just run around outside for cardio and do ALOT of push-ups and lift (with the little weights I have) for working out.
