Hi there, I'm a new user. I actually posted this earlier in the wrong forum...
Anyway, I was wondering how I would go about losing weight and getting in shape, but not building muscle.
My body type and genes are pretty much hard-wired so that if I start working out (lifting weights) and eating right I'll most likely put on muscle mass.
I know it's a bit unusual, I mean, most guys would be happy to put on more muscle, but I don't want to be big, I want to be tiny.
Is there any way I can eat well, and say, like... Run or do some kind of cardio so that I'll get "cut" and trim without putting on muscle mass?
What types of things should I eat?
Oh, and by the way, I'm 5'7" and my weight is about 162. And I'm eighteen.
