Hi there,

Thought i would start a diary to keep a track of how im doing and get some support. I have struggled with my weight a long time and yoyo-ed over the years. I have now got up to my biggest. (Starting weight 193.6 on 2/23).

This time is hopefully my last attempt to ditch the weight and i really am going to work hard and stick with it this time. My biggest obstactle is not seeing results, but this time i am just going to be patient. I want to get down to 149, and then reasses my goals.

So to start off i will just recap my activities last week.

3/2 Weigh in day... 187.44 (Lost 6.16 this week!)
AM - Cardio 40 min
3/3 AM - Cardio 40min
PM - Walk 35min
3/4 PM - Walk 50min
3/5 AM - Weights Upper Body (Getting Lower body program done nxt wk)
3/6 DAY OFF
3/7 AM - Weights Upper Body
3/8 AM - HIIT (25min)
PM - Walk 50 min

3/9 Weigh in day.... 185.24 (Lost 2.2 this week)
AM - Weights Lower Body

So that brings me up to today.
I struggled yesterday with motivation. Its hard when you lose a lot one week, and then hardly anything the next week. I felt like i really tried hard last week with excercise (compared to my NO excercise before that). And after all that excercise i hoped to lose more than 2.2 in a week. I will just have to try even harder this week!!
 
Losing a huge amount one week then a small amount can be depressing but such is life with weight loss. Your doing a fair amount of exercise so your probably going to be building some muscle in the process of losing weight too. Good luck on the continued exercise and weight loss
 
Well i didnt have the motivation today to go to the gym to do cardio, so i thought id try something different to motivate me. Took a long drive to the nearest beach and did a 40min walk/jog. Boy jogging in the sand is hard work!! (For unfit me LOL).
Was nice and refreshing though, and i feel good that at least i did some form of excercise today
 
As long as you keep coming back to your weight loss program after the little (or big) mishaps then this really will be your LAST attempt!

I look forward to following your progress. :D
 
Well today has been ok. Stayed strict with my eating, but did some baking for others.. Somehow i always bake when on a health kick. Lets hope it lasts this time LOL. Really didnt have the motivation to go to the gym but i forced myself. I cant reach my goals if i dont give myself a kick up the ass and do some excercise!!
Did weight program for total body today. (Decided not to split upper and lower on different days as i only want to do weights 3 times a week, and just concentrate on cardio on the other days. Time will tell if it works well???
 
Well today was a really good day. Didnt indulge in anything naughty. Got a new part time job to do while studying etc, so i wont be quite so broke.
Around lunch i went for a 55 min walk, which included some CRAZY hills. (We live in the country (New Zealand), so there are some good places to walk).
Then in the afternoon i dragged myself to the gym to do a HIIT session on the bike. Hopefully im slowly building up my fitness!!
Quite chuffed today as i hit the 1/4 way mark to my current goal weight! (Havent changed my ticker yet as that happens on a mon)
 
Today was a bit of a struggle. Started my new part time job and by the time i got home in the avo i was really drained. There went my plans to go to the gym. Decided it could be my rest day. But im back to work tommorrow so i hope i have the motivation afterwards to excercise, because i dont want to go backwards on my progress!
 
Well today started off well. No work today YAY! Went for a walk with my mum in the morning. Not too strenuos but better than sitting on my ass! Then treated myself to a pedicure!
In the avo i motivated myself to go to the gym and do a cardio session. Felt really great afterwards.
Stuck strictly to healthy eating plan all day, untill late avo when the cravings started for a big pig out. Like McDonalds, or anything. Have managed to ignore the cravings till now (6pm), and no matter what i will not indulge during the evening, no matter how hard it gets. I have to stay strong because tommorrow is my weekly weigh in, and so far this week i have made huge progress and been really good.
Its the end of my 3rd week of my current attempt at being healthier and losing weight. I have been so good! Going from my previous couch potato, to doing lots of excercise. I havent touched alcohol. And had no cheat days so far in 3 weeks, although i know i am allowed them once in a while.

Anyway. Geez i hope some people read my diary and give me some support here or feedback/advice. This diary is becoming pretty lonely LOL.
 
Great week

Yesterday was my weekly weigh in day... Lost a total of 7.48 lb's :hurray:
Worked in the morning then thanks to mum who made me, i went to the gym and did a full body weights session.

Today i have taken the day off work, and should get to the gym in the avo...
 
Well today i kinda indulged on some yummy foods, but still pretty healthy. For lunch i cooked this really tasty beef stir fry, without any rice though. Also throughout avo had serves of a vege soup i made the other day.

In the avo i managed to get to the gym and do a cardio workout. Only 30min though, which i know isnt much but i guess its better than nothing!
 
wow you have some massive losses! well done you :D i would really love to drop 6lbs pe week but have to content myself with 2...oh well!

You are doing a great job and you seem to have your execise sorted - keep up the great work!
 
You sound a lot like me. One week I lose tons, the next week not so much and then the week after that I lose tons again. So brillant that you keep up on that exercise. That's the one thing that's difficult for me. Keep up the good work darlin'.
