From the beggining of the year I have challenged myself to lose 10lbs at a time, and in all have lost 28lbs, but the last 8 pounds have been terribly had to shift. Having just come back from holiday and weighed myself I have put on 7lbs so now need to lose at least 14lbs :(

Anyone else feel depressed when they lose weight go away for a short period and find they have put a load on like that!!

Anyways, been back 2 days and now back on my programme with Project 10, aiming to lose 10lbs in the next 30 days and so far starting out really well. I am looking for partners to lose it with as it makes it easier, and it makes you accountable using a buddy. Anyone fancy teaming up?

My biggest struggle is exercise. If there is anyone with some really good exercises that will not only get a lazy metabolism going, but also shape me up, I would be eternally grateful.

well that is it for now. Hope someone can help....

Colette :)

Welcome to WLF....
Don't worry about the vacation weight you added, we all get it now and then. Just think of it as a challenge to get it off...
As for the exercises... That really all depends on you. What are you wanting to do in general to lose the weight. If your "lazy metabolism" don't like the gym find an outdoor activity or routine you can do. When I don't make it to the gym I will go run the country roads that I live on. If I get the time I'll do some trail running. That will work you out pretty good.
Also I do a lot around the yard to help me ie. chop wood, cut out tree stumps etc...

Really it is up to you. In my opinion figure out an activity that you enjoy doing that is physical and turn it into a workout routine...

But anyways again welcome to WLF. There are a lot of great people here to help encourage and motivate you in making your goal. So good luck to you. I'll stop in every so often and check on your progress

Hello Colette,

Welcome to WLF!

Great job on losing so many pounds since the beginning of the year, quite an achievement and very motivating for myself too. Yes the last few pounds i heard are the hardest to lose but keep at it and im sure they will come off eventually, consistency gets you/everyone further than we sometimes expect.

GreyGhostHunter mentioned some good tips on exercise and like he said find an enjoyable activity, maybe dancing? I know i lost 20kg in a year through that =) While im more overweight than yourself, I would love to be your weight loss buddy to encourage you along the way. It's hard to find support people in particular on here so im glad you mentioned it =)

All the best and look forward to hearing from you ^_^
