I think interval training is a superior form of conditioning and helps greatly in fat loss.If you haven't done much cardio work lately, I would focus more on aerobic training to build up a base before moving on to more intense training like intervals.

What is most appealing to me about interval training is that you can apply it to a wide variety of activities from running, cycling and swimming to calisthenics, medicine ball exercises and the heavy bag.You can also alter the work to rest ratios for more variety in your training.Just make sure you are adequately prepared as it is pretty intense. You must keep a closer eye on recovery when implementing interval work.

i agree. HIIT is tough work. take your time to work your way into it.

good things about HIIT is that it doesnt take long to do and it boosts your metabolism for the rest of the day. :)
