Hey, I've browsed these forums for a while now and I just now thought that I'd make an account and share my weightloss progress with you guys. I know I've lost 18lb so far and compared to you guys that's really nothing. But it's something, anyway I've always been a big lad and really used to eat as much stuff when I wanted.

The breaking point for me was finding food packets that I'd hidden and looking through old photographs of me and current ones and I was just totally disgusted with what I saw, and I I didn't feel attractive to anyone. So I've researched a lot into eating habits and exercise and I'd like to say that the 18lb I've lost has been within a month, so I feel like that's an accomplishment.

But with me, I feel my main downfall with weightloss it that I'm impatient and I'd love to be thin now, but it takes time I realize now and looking through a lot of threads on these forums you guys have motivated me a lot, I've been going to the gym (along with working a 30 hour a week job) and eating and drinking a lot more healithly.

I know how you feel with being impatient, I am the same way. That's why it's a lifestyle change. You just have to realize eating healthy and exercising is now a huge part of your new lifestyle and you gotta get used to it. But if you stick with it the results you want will eventually come. Great job on the 1st month! Keep up the good work and try not to stress about the results to much and over think it. Just keeping making an effort every single day. Don't weigh yourself all the time I recommend only doing that once a week at the most. Anyways GL man and great job so far. Keep us updated on how you're doing. Also if you have a bad day were you eat a lot of junk that's ok don't stress about it. Just make sure you get back on the horse the very next day and you'll be fine. Even a cheat day once a week were you eat whatever you want is fine. Take care.

Hi Lee, may we know what exactly you did in the first month? I mean oyou have already lost so much within such a short period of time, which is simply fantastic!

I basically cut out all the crap and toned down my portion size, I stopped eating fries, burgers, chocolate and sweets all together, it was hard at first and I experienced a feeling of sadness, mood swings for the first few days, but after that I picked myself up, started drinking at least 2 liters of water per day, I always used to skip breakfast and lunch and make up for it of the night meal, but now I wake up earlier, have museli cereal with slices of banana, for lunch I have a wholemeal sandwich with chicken on, and I usually have either a nice chicken and rice meal or with pasta.

I go to the gym for an hour per day I can only do an hour because I usually have to go work a 6-9 hour shift straight after, and even then I'm on my feet all the time so that's sort of more exercise?

At the gym I go for a 10 minute jog, then I do a 20 minute intense workout on the bikes, then 10 minutes on the rowing machine, then 15 minutes on the cross-country trainer and then another quick 5 minute jog.

Job well done!! 18lbs in a month is fantastic! I have the same goal as you to get around 170lbs. I've lost 16lbs but it's been two months. If you don't mind me asking how tall are you?
