Hi, I'm Dylan :D

Hello and welcome to the forum!

I'm no expert but personally I would aim for something like 2000 kcal a day (your calorie consumtion should be somthing like 4000 kcal a day with a little physical activity put in). I would also have 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat.

Good luck!

50% carbs just seems unlikely for me. Could you give an example of some foods that would help me get more carbs? I don't really like food with carbs in them. And it isn't as easy as, "you have to eat it". If I eat foods I don't like I generally get sick, or can't even make it through a bite without getting sick.

I do appreciate the input though. I have been hovering closer to 2,000 for the past few days so I'll probably do that.

Also, I thought consuming more fat than carbs was better for dieting? Fat is used for your body to absorb vitamins and stuffs better, right?

(I literally mean I don't really like cereal, oatmeal, bread. Really the only thing I eat has chicken in it or around it =/ I guess can eat 400 calorie tuna sandwiches with whole wheat bread)

Some sources for carbs are bread, potatoes, rice and pasta. At 2,000 kcal you should still get some decent results. For how long have you been dieting?

I've been dieting now for like a week. I eat potatoes pretty often. I would like to add that I am the only person I know that does not like fried foods.

I don't know how to cook, so advanced pasta dishes are out of the question. What about high fiber food?

It's pretty sad that I can't cook considering I took like 3 cooking classes in school. That's why I stick to stuff like Ramen and Tuna.

I'm about to walk to the gas station but I'm going to see what else they have. I could just get a couple of cereal bars..

What are the benefits of increasing my carb consumption?

i don't trust this scale. I weighed myself like 12 times. It said 347 3 times, and then a couple of other times it said 345.5 and 346.2. I just don't think there's any way I've lost 20 lbs.
