Take a look around, read the stickies in the forums. There's a lot of great info there that will answer a lot of the questions that everybody has... and probably help inspire new questions.

Also it was recommended to me to start a journal in the diary section... I recommend it to you... good place to keep track of what you are doing, and for people to give advice, support, etc.

Have you looked at how you are going to lose weight? Or are you looking for a 'how do I get started?' type of thing?
 
I think I have a good plan to lose it.
Just eating healthy, controlling my portions and increasing my exercise.

I never had much motivation before but then I thought about it this way:

It took me 17 years to accumulate this much extra weight.
It will take me a maximum of 2 years to lose it.

So two years of hard work and then i get the rest of my life to enjoy!
(By then I'll have changed my lifestyle so that I won't gain it back.)

I actually am keeping a private written journal.
 
The first few entries on my journal are from a private blog, but this was something I could share with the world. I like having one here because it not only contains my entries, but lots of random conversations that have generated over the past few months. That's why some have so many pages. They're fun to read.

A lot of other people use fitday.com to keep track of calories, food intake, activities... etc. its a good site.
