Hey i'm new

Hey everyone my name is Sam and I just joined these forums. I'm 21 years old and I am having trouble staying motivated to reach my goal of weighing in the 190lbs. range. I'm 6'2 and I currently weigh 229lbs. I had got down to 225lbs but these past 2 weeks I haven't been working out like I should.

I not only want to lose this weight to be healthy but I also suffer from social anxiety disorder and being over weight makes my anxiety attacks 100x's worse and harder to control.

My hope is that by joining this community i'll be able to find the support and motivation I need to achieve my goals.

i'm sure you'll find lots of support here. this place is filled with wonderful people. congratulations on your loss so far. and just joining here shows some motivation doesn't it? we all have our ups and downs when it comes to exercise. but the key is not giving up.
so start your diary and begin the journey ahead of you. its a wonderful ride.

I agree with Lena, every road trip has some ups, downs, and sometimes you get a flat tired along the way, just dont turn that car around, keep going!

The diary really has helped me with how I feel from happiness to frustration. I know people look at it, but when i get in a mind frame of just expressing how I did and how i feel i pretend that nobody can see it. It also helps my motivation looking back the day before or two days before and reading how great i felt after running/biking/lifting weights.

I hope to see you around and can't wait to see you get closer to your goal!! Welcome Sam!
 
Thanks for the welcome guys. I started my diary so hopefully in a few months i'll be able to reach my goals or be well on my way there.
 
Good luck Sam! I think one of the hardest parts about losing weight is picking yourself back up after you've had a couple of bad days or weeks. But you've taken a great step in joining the forums and starting a journal to help you track your progress. You can do it!
