End of first 24 hours
I spent alot of time yesterday reading through lots of members threads and replies and found them to be inspiring and I finally feel like I am not in this by myself.
So, I went through the fridge and pantry and threw out the things that I like to snack on (when I do actually snack) and that aren't the kids items. One good thing I found is I actually feed my kids pretty healthy food and snacks.
I then had my husband watch the kids and I went to the grocery store and stocked up on lots of veggies and yogurt and chicken/turkey. I proceeded to come home and wash and cut up those veggies so they don't just rot in the bottom of the fridge.
So far today, I actually ate breakfast, a yogurt and half an english muffin with spray butter. I had a snack of slivered almonds (about half a handful) and have drank 4 glasses of water. My son and I spent this morning picking up the house by putting items in his dump trucks and running them up and down the hall and laughing hysterically as we both fell down several times. I am heading off to make myself a chicken and roasted zuchinni lunch.
Granted today is my day off from work, so this has been pretty easy. But the tip of cutting up the veggies and having them ready in the fridge makes it so easy and I thank "dairyqueen" for the insight. It will really be handy on those days were I am juggling work, the kids and the house.
