So I've decided to give this journal thing a try.
I'm a 20 year old, male, and I'm married. I have a 2 year old son, and I work an 8-5 job. It's a very stressful job, hahaha. Not to mention my first one.
My long-term goal is to go from 212 lbs to 140 lbs. My short-term goal is to just eat healthy and lose weight. I am doing this because I'm so tired of the way I look. In high school I used to be around 190 and I decided to "diet" and I got all the way to 159 lbs. Another, and more important reason as to why I've decided to change my lifestyle is because I don't want my son to adopt the unhealthy eating habits that my wife and I seem to have.
So here I am...
I've recently weighed myself this morning and I'm already down to 207 lbs. I've already been switching up my eating habits and trying to eat more healthy - which, by the way, is a little more expensive hahaha.
Breakfast has been oatmeal and some fruit everyday, but that got a little boring so I started switching back and forth between oatmeal and yogurt with some fruit.
Lunch is a tuna or chicken sandwich with some fruit and I usually have an apple as a snack somewhere down the line.
When I get home I have a bowl of cottage cheese and then I go play around with my son.
Dinner I've been trying to stick with lean meats, chicken, pork, etc. with a side of veggies and some beans/rice/fruit.
I'm fully confident that I can keep this up, and I try to keep track of my intake of calories as best I can. I'm starting to walk and run Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Tuesdays and Thursdays I am going to trying working out my upper body (I'm not sure just how though...I'm thinking push-ups, sit-ups and the list goes on....) And I constantly dance around cause I love to listen to music, and my son likes to dance along with me. hahaha.
