help with my booty

Hi Everyone! I'm new at this and I have a problem...I've been working out a lot, mostly cardio, and I've lost weight in the booty, which to me is a bad thing. I think I went on the elliptical backwards too much. How can I add muscle to get my bubble butt back? Can anyone describe some excercises I can do? I would really appreciate it!

I hear J Lo does a ton of lunges, which do target the glutes quite a bit.Can the queen of getto booty be wrong?
 
Wide stance squats, sumo deads, cable pull throughs, glute-ham raises. I don't see anything wrong with doing lunges (and I could be wrong) but don't lunges target the quads more?
