help plz

im prob postin this in the wrong forum so sorry bout that..

i got fairly skinny (but toned) arms and legs n average body..

ideally i wna tone up my abs n pecks first and then start buildin on all my other muscles..

some people say i should eat loads of food to put on weight and then work it all off again by doing weight training so it turns into muscle.. -the problem with this is any body fat i do put on goes straight to my abs n pecks area (which is what i want to tone up first..)

other people say i should watch what i eat, low carbs high protein, and do lots of cardio work out to tone up my body first.. (which is what iv been doin allot of for months now, but still no real improvment :( )

can anyone point me in the right direction?

cheers.

1. fat dont turn into muscle.

you could start bulking, lift heavy and eat alot, but eat clean! if you are fairly skinny you probobly wont gain all that much fat. ive been bulking for some time, gained about 5kgs so far and i havent gotten all that much less defined. after the bulking you can start cutting, eating less and doing more cardio so you burn off whatever fat you gained while bulking..

thats one way to do it.

it depends on what YOU want dude.. do you want to get a bit bigger? if so, bulk.. if you want to get more defined but not bigger muscles.. then cut.

OK. This is easy to solve.

You can't gain any mass, WITHOUT eating a lot. Seriously.

You have to eat a lot, but if you're really scared about gaining any fat, eat as lean as you possibly can.

If you do some cardio, and some lifting, you can keep your BF % down easily.

Just read more posts, see that you need to eat a lot, but you'll also see theres ways to keep your body fat at a stable level.
