Help Needed!

I need some advice on dieting. At present I am happy with my body apart from my lower abs. I only eat 3 meals per day and my snacks tend to be apples usually. I drink at least 5 pints of water per day.

However I have been unable to lose the weight around my lower abs!! This has started to become very frustrating. I train them on a regular basis and its got to the point where I am gettin back pains from regular situps. I dont do them every day but a good few days per week.

I also cycle for an hour 4 or 5 days per week. Does anyone have any tips they could give me?

I have heard about fat/carb blockers but I'm not sure if they could help. I would do the atkins but it has to be maintained and I think I will lose weight in areas of my body I am happy with.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated :)
 
I would suggest walking around more often. That is try to walk 5 miles every day! For example walk from work if you live within such a distance. Or just go for a 1-2hour walk before going to sleep at night. Also suggest doing the maximum number of pushups every morning that you wake up, before breakfast.
 
Sit ups dp not work the lower abs, they predominanatly work the ilias and psoas muscles, and the upper abs. Try leg raises, preferably hanging from a chin up bar.
Also, you must lower overall body fat to get your abs to show. Try HIIT (high intensity interval training).
