Help. imbalance

Hi, I am new. Need some help. I am a Kayak-er, and presently train about 5 times weekly. I also do weights about once a week, and jog abt once weekly. But all my activities are mostly for benefit of the sport, so my exercises are something like push-ups (and chest-press), chin ups (and biceps, lats, row workout, etc), and some sit-ups only. the nature of my sport is such that its more or less train upper body. as you can guess, I have some problem because lower body is not so well developed, and worse still getting very flabby, especially around ass and abs area. Actually, I am quite lean: 55kilo, 166cm. 18yrs old, Chinese from M'sia (yeah, quite small size right?) I need help as to what workout can help burn fat only around lower body region. strange thing is my limbs including legs are all quite leanm, its like all the fats goes to my ass. Abs arent too good either, they show, but protrude.
And I cant lose too much weight, because already underweight. I plan to bulk up later, but only after I have burned away the excess fat in my ass region, no.1 priority. thanks in advance.

It's not possible to spot-reduce the fat that you have on your body. Your lower body might appear to be more flabby than your upper body because you are lacking muscle. You should really work your legs into any training you do because the workouts will be beneficial in strengthening your core, which i believe would be extremely helpful in Kayaking... not to mention, no one wants a flabby ass!

thank you for the reply. I see what you mean, can't disagree. I read up about ass exercises, seems like Dead Lifts are recommended? Should I do a lower rep, heavier weight, or higher rep, lighter weight exercise? It seems a common problem is for people to have flat ass, but my problem is the exact opposite. Its protruding a bit too much out of proportion, since I mentioned I am leaner in other areas. with a pinch test, there's atleast 4-5 X times more fat in my ass than in my arms.disgusting. any advice is well appreciated

deadlifts, free squats (no smith machines!), romanian deadlifts, front squats -- these will all help build the upper legs, as well as hip flexors and lower back..which seem like those muscles would be important to kiyaking, since you need to stabilize the core so you can paddle.

throw in some basic calf raises, and you have a solid lower body routine for your needs.

I would actually think that legs play a decent role in kayaking. Granted you aren't doing a full range motion with your legs but you are using them consistantly I'm sure. I'd think that squats and deads would be of great benefit for you to do. Also, if you plan on putting some mass (solid muscle weight) then you really do need to work your legs. You will see much more improvement (even with your upper body) if you incorporate solid leg workouts into your routine.
