Help gaining weight - 5'8, 108lbs

Hi,

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I'm new here. Well, I'm in need for some help. I'm 16, about 5ft 8inches, and I weigh in at about 108.5. Yes, that's severely underweight. I have very fast metabolism, and I think that I eat fairly a lot, about 4-5 meals a day. I don't know if I am eating healthy, because I come from an Asian family, and well ... yeah. I get fairly enough exercise, I play Varsity tennis for my high school. I was wondering ...

- What's the quickest way to gain some weight?
- What do you guys suggest that I eat for my three meals a day?
- What other exercises do you guys suggest that I should do?

Your help is appreciated,
Quest

Weight gain = Eating more. Exercise and training helps dictate your general wellbeing and body composition but it can’t make you gain weight unless you’re eating enough to fuel growth.

typhon has it right

You need to eat more. But dont eat crap. Eat high protein low saturated foods. Eggs, Beef, Chicken, Tuna.
I am 5'8 and dropped to 145 from running too much. To gain back mass, not just weight, I started a whey substitute and it is steadily helping me build lean ripped muscles. Be careful though, all whey is not the same. You need to read the back of the can. Best products I found so far have 0 saturated fat and cholesterol. I had to hunt though. Walmarts brand is bull ****. it is full of fat and cholesterol.

One of the best brands I found was poorly marketed and didnt have any flashy merchandising or labeling. It was on the bottom row and barely visible.

Sorry but I cant remember the names off the top of my head.

Start by eating 6 meals a day, but you have to make these meals count. You have to eat a lot....a lot a lot. Eat lots of lean meats (beef, chicken, salmon, tuna, turkey sausage etc) eggs, veg. and fruits and healthy fats. Be sure to follow your workouts with whey and some sort of simple carb. I would also suggest during your bulking phase to remember to let your body recover and take time to rest while still eating clean and large amounts. The tennis thing is great but start hitting the weights to pack on the pounds. For bulking I would say lift heavy, for 4-5 sets and dont lift for more than an hour. Make sure you are working your entire body, dont forget the legs like a lot of guys tend to do....just some personal thoughts...i went through the same thing and have put on 15 lbs of muscle.
