Hello. I'm a 23 year old who's having a bit of trouble losing weight. I'm 76 inches tall and weigh 250 pounds. I run at least every other day, at least three miles (some weeks I run every day) and I hit the gym for an hour every day. I don't eat a lot-usually a banana or an orange for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch-tuna, chicken salad or peanut butter and jelly, and I really don't load it down or anything-and usually some fish or pasta for dinner, and not a very large amount at all. When I snack, I usually eat a small handful of unsalted nuts or some crackers and cheese (no more than five of those at a time) and I limit myself to snacking once a day. On the weekends I do drink (liquor, not beer) and go out to restaurants, but at the restaurants I usually order a salad or a healthy choice from their menu, like a "under 550 calories" entree at Applebees. A lot of my weight is muscle, but I definitely do have a gut, and I would like to lose 30 pounds at least, eventually fifty pounds.
The really frustrating thing is that I used to eat a lot more, and a lot more unhealthy foods, while exercising the same amount. I started eating a lot less, and a lot more healthy foods, and I remained the same weight-it'll vary up and down by five pounds a day depending on how hydrated I am and such, but it's been a month now and despite changing my diet, I still consistently weigh 245-250 pounds. Does anyone have any advice?
