Hello, hello!!! I'm having a fantastic day....hope you all are doing the same :) It just feels good to feel good! I have to admit I'm having a little trouble fitting my hour in at the gym each day since I started school, but I am still getting exercise everyday and I'll learn to juggle everything in time. So today, I only got 30 minutes in at the gym (boo) Burned 300 calories though!! It was beautiful here today, and I actually convinced my Fiance to take a walk with me.....that's amazing since he's a real couch potato. Anyway, we found some great trails by our house, and wouldn't you know it....he loved it. We also discovered a basketball court and tennis courts along the way, and he actually suggested that we start using them :) I had a great day food wise too....

Breakfast:
1/2 a whole wheat pita (75 cal)
1/2 cup of southwest eggs white substitute (70 cal)
1/2 cup of pineapple cubes (40 cal)

Dinner:
1 frozen dinner (280 cal)
1 activia yogurt (100 cal)
1/2 cup of strawberries (25 cal)

Supper:
1 cup whole wheat, no yolk pasta (155 cal)
1/2 chicken breast (70 cal)
1/4 cup pasta sauce (35 cal)
1 slice of cheese (60 cal)

Snacks:
3 coffees/2 milk (120 cal)
mini carrots, veggie crackers, grape tomatoes and 2 tbsp of hummus (190 cal)

Grand total....1100 :) Tomorrow is weigh in day.....I'm feeling good about it. I'll update in the morning. Cheers lovelies!!

Seems like you have found your groove lol. You have had some awesome days lately. I know that when I first started trying to lose weight I had to pitch a lot of food into the garbage. Mostly, I would make dinner, but throw out the leftovers because I knew I would eat them later that night. Now, I can save them for lunch the next day without fear.

You have been doing awesome lately, especially on your calorie intake and the nice weather should stick around for you. More walking!! Have a great weekend!
 
Drum roll Please.....I lost....1 measly pound. I don't understand, I was thinking 3 lbs for sure. Oh well, a loss is a loss. Down to 192 lbs. I have to admit, all day I was discouraged and slipped a little in the diet department. I didn't go over on my calories by much, but I made bad choices. Comfort food.....empty calories. I took a walk today with my sister and nephew, but it was really just a leisurely stroll and I'm sure I didn't burn many calories. I felt defeated all day....didn't care about eating good....wasn't going to the gym. I was actually on my way home, tired after a long day of eating crappy and beating myself up over my insignificant loss, when the biggest loser song popped into my head. I started thinking about how hard I worked this past week. I started thinking that by cheating, I was really only cheating myself. I thought about coming home and logging on to confess how bad I've been, to all of you who have been so supportive. That song was a sign....I hopped off the bus at the gym instead :) I couldn't stay long and I only burned 300 calories, but I walked out feeling on top of the world. I WILL NOT LET THE SCALE BE THE ONLY MEASURE OF MY SUCCESS!!! That's what I always do. I start a diet, do great for a week or two, don't get the results I want right away and quit. Not this time. So I only lost a pound...that's one nasty pound of fat no longer on my body :) By the way, the homemade mac and cheese I ate today, made me feel like a blob...YUCK!! FYI....I'm so happy I found this site :)
 
Hello all!! today was a good day :) I got to sleep a little late today, since it's Saturday....so no breakfast, but my food choices were pretty good all day. I did a bunch of walking today and had a great workout at the gym, so I'm feeling pretty proud of myself today :) Plus, I had a lady I know ask if I was losing weight!!! She said my face looked slimmer and while I'm pretty sure the weight I've lost isn't at all noticeable, it nice to hear it anyway. Here's today's menu....

Breakfast:
Slept through it

Dinner:
1/2 a chicken breast (70 cal)
1 cup of whole wheat, no yolk pasta (155 cal)
1/4 cup pasta sauce (35 cal)
1 slice of cheese (60 cal)
* this is my own creation, not sure what to call it, but it sure is yummy :)

Supper:
Large whole wheat wrap (180 cal)
1 slice of cheese (60 cal)
1 serving of tuna (80 cal)
1/2 cup of chopped pears (50 cal)

Snacks:
1 low fat blueberry muffin and large coffee/2milk (330 cal)
5 grape tomatoes, baby carrots, 12 veggie crackers, 2 tbsp of hummus (190 cal)


So, I came in today at 1210 calories....yay!!!

Here's my day activity...

30 minute walk to the gym (?)
Hour walk with my sister (?)
20 minute walk with my sweetie (?)
20 minutes strength training for my arms (?)
40 minutes on the arc trainer (-435 cal)


So, I don't know how many calories I actually burned today, but I moved A LOT!!! The more I move, the more I wanna move....I love it:)

I am glad top hear you are doing well :) Don't get to bummed over the 1 lb loss, it was probably because of the few calories you were eating for a few days, but now that you have been feeding your body the calories it needs you will probably see a bigger loss this upcoming week :)
 
Thanks Shawnnam & Bibz10, things are looking up this week!!!! I lost two pounds this week.....down to 190 lbs & I'm proud :) I wasn't able to get near the computer this week, so sorry for the lack of updates, but I've been working out everyday and sticking to my calories!!!! I had a few drinks and two slices of pizza last night, but that was my treat for the week. Today, it's all business again :) I hope everyone had a successful week!!!
 
Hello & Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there!!! It's been such a Dreary week & next week the forecast calls for rain, rain and more rain (boo) What happened to the sun??? I'm hoping to be able to get my blogging back on track this week...it's been tough sharing a computer. I'm waiting for the rain to hold up enough, so that I don't drown on my way to the gym today. I'll be back later to update what I eat today :)
