I've been on my weight loss journey for about 4 years now.
i am 18 years old, 5'2'' and when i started losing weight i was 200 pounds.
i don't go to a gym and barely workout. Because i decided that conquering my food habits is the first step, there are still a couple occasions a week when i go completely overboard with the food. I'll always be a fat girl when it comes to food but am much improved in that area and am now 140 pounds. At 5'2'' i have concluded that an ideal and fit weight for me would be 120 pounds. But it seems as though these last 20 pounds are never going to go. I'm a student, so finding extra cash to enter a gym is kind of out of the question. I'm not much for working out so i've come up with a 20 minute workout that i do 4 days out of the week in hopes of losing more weight and more importantly, inches. so um .. hello. :cheers2:

Hello, belicose, and welcome to the forum! I can absolutely relate about not liking to work out. I mainly walk for exercise and find that always wearing my pedometer keeps me accountable. These past couple of weeks I've tried adding sit-ups and push-ups, and boy, is it ever an effort! I have to force myself. Your 20-minute workout sounds like a good system.

If you haven't already read them, the sticky threads at the top of each board are full of useful information. There are also free calorie counters like fitday.com and thedailyplate.com where you can track your daily intakes of calories, macro- and micro-nutrients, if that's your thing. Over on the "Contests" board, there is usually something going on. I just finished participating in a contest that challenged me to add strength training to my exercise routine (the aforementioned sit-ups and push-ups). Again, welcome!
