Hi everyone!
I'm Emily and I'm 17 years old. Last summer I gained over 20 pounds. I just can't seem to lose the weight. My required calories for my age, height, gender, and weight is 1895. To lose 1 pound a week I should deduct 500 from 1895. I should be eating 1395 calories a day to lose a pound a week. I hardly ever eat more than this and alot of the time eat even less. I do exercises at home 4 times a week. I have stayed that same weight for over 6 months. I don't know what to do...

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water. I am new to the forum but not to weight loss. Keep up the good work. You'll lose the 20 pounds. :)

May I ask your weight?

How do you know how many calories you are eating? If you are certain, truly how consistent are you with the deficit?

Thermodynamics does not lie, if you are really in a caloric deficit, weight will come off.

hi

Thanks!
I think I might have a slow metabolism. My dad has a really slow one. I drink tons of water because I love it! lol. I also have tea and juice sometimes. I never drink cokes. I really do write down everything I eat every day. I guess I just have to give it a little more time before it shows up on the scale.;)

Well, if you are truly in a caloric deficit, you will lose weight. Unless there is something else going on behind the scenes medically.
