Hello there!.

My name is Margarita (yeah, like the cocktail:sifone:). I am 20 years old and I am studying Microbiology. I have been overweight since I was 10 years old. I started to diet since then from time to time, but I stopped doing it when I was 17 because I felt very tired of having such a restricted life style. Besides, when I was 16 years old I got to lose like 20 pounds, but I got very sick (I wasn't following a healthy diet, I had tonsilitis for 3 months) so I just couldn't do it anymore. I am 5'5'' and 153 pounds (I am a size 12) and I am completely tired of being the way I am. I want to change my life style and I want to feel better about myself. I want to have more energy and I don't want to feel depressed.. so I am ready to begin a new journey and a new chapter in my life. I know it is going to be a roller coaster but I am 100% that I can survive:):). So that is my life story. LOL. Thanx. :iamwithstupid:

Microbiology, wow. That's a challenge!

I understand where you are coming from. You do reach a saturation point, where you are just tired of feeling like crap. I'm there, too.

You are gonna do great. I'm only an inch taller than you and I weigh 177 right now. Ironically I wear a 12 in most dresses, though I am probably a 14 in jeans (I'm too depressed to try any on, lol.) It's all in how the body proportions the weight, I guess. But what I am saying is you are starting from a very manageable place. You are young, too, so I bet your metabolism will kick in with a little effort.

I just joined the forum a few minutes before you. I'm excited to be here.

I am very excited to be here. My metabolism is veeeery slow, lol even if I exercise and eat healthy I don't lose weight lose fast, it takes me forever to lose a pound or so. Also, well.. I would like to lose 20 pounds or so, because according to my nutritionist I should weight around 115 pounds which is highly unlikely for me since I have a big bone structure. 125 pounds for me is a very realistic goal. I am sure u can do great as well:)
