I have started other threads here, like at the beginning of the year, and those just happened to fall back into the past and my motivation lapsed. I now have a wedding in about three months (August 3rd, 2012). I need to get going, and I am starting a new diet tomorrow that will most likely be hellish.

It is called the Makers diet, based on the bible unfortunately, as I do not believe in organized religion, but being a weight loss forum well keep it about weight loss. It is basically 40 days, eating no starches, processed foods, or unnatural foods. It is expensive, as I just went shopping today for the food for it and spent a lot of money haha. I am doing it with my UPS driver (long story haha) and my fiance. I will be exercising as well, and that should help it keeping a routine. I weigh in at 236lbs right now, want to be about 160-165 by the end of it, I have two shirts I want to fit into for NYE 2012!

I am in Nursing school, so the schedule is rough and finding time and motivation will be hard, but I can do this! Thanks for all the kind comments as it is motivation and I look forward to sharing my progress with you.

After seeing this, my body is so disproportional and disturbing, I need to change!

A before shot, disturbing.

Me with my fiance on the right, and then some friends bowling.

Thanks for all my followers, if I get any, and also thanks for the motivation! I say about 6-8 months everything should be normal, thanks!

UPS guy? lol you can do it! no reason you cant, one thing everyone can controll is the way they eat, and yes eating healthy is very expensive, no wonder the states is in a "fat epidemic" when theres economicle crisis, but thats besides the point. what all does your diet entail? is it sustainable? or do you just want to lose befor your wedding? (congrats btw)

yes, i work in a receiving department and see my ups guy everyday, and he has done this diet before. so now were doing it together! in america we alway want something for nothing, that is what is wrong with our food system. it is not sustainable forever, thank god it is only for forty days! there are three phases in which the first phase you can eat the least, and every phase you add more thingsl it is called the makers diet-look it up!

Yeah! Just make sure you're getting enough of the right nutrients from this diet. But good luck in your weight loss journey! I'm just starting mine out now, too.

I had some fresh kiwi, strawberries, and raspberries for breakfast. For lunch I had a salad with fresh lettuce, green, orange, and yellow peppers. Also had chicken, and tomatoes in there as well. Put a little ceasar salad on there for more taste. It was a change, but for the better.

Make sure you get some proteins in every meal to stabilize your blood sugar level and keep you from being starving all the time. Can you eat egg whites? If you can, add some in for breakfast. They're low calorie and pure protein.

i actually eat hard boiled eggs for a snack 2 times a day. i need to find variety though, being a nursing student you would think i know health, but when put on the spot it is hard. haha
