Heart Rate during HIIT

Hey got a quck question about my heart rate during my HIIT training. I do a walk run combination. 1 min walk 1 min run for 30-35 minutes everyday. I noticed during running my heart rate climbs to 180 bpm. Now I was told that my heart rate should be 140-165. My question is it ok to 180 bpm when I am running or should I shoot for less than that. I never get below 150 bpm during my HIIT training. I do this cardio work 5 times a week. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks

I have a heart rate monitor strapped to my chest right below my pecs it transmits to a device that is attached to my wrist that displays my heart rate. I also use the stopwatch to time my sessions. Its kinda cool watching my heartrate peak during running and then slowly come back down.

I'm not really up on heart monitors but i know the one i have on my treadmill is pretty inaccurate, especially the higher intensities. Unless i have a very stong heart i can't get it up over 110BPM and i'm nearly puking.
