If media reports are any indication and if medical opinion is to be relied upon, our health status is deteriorating at an alarming rate - the consequence, we are told, of our way of life. Dr Ornish, an American doctor, who runs successful weight loss programme says that most modern health issues can be traced to- food, drinks, lack of exercise, stress and unhealthy lifestyle. Health is one of those assets whose value we begin to recognize only when we have lost it. Here are a few easy tips to maintain your health creatively.
  • Walk at least two or three flights of stairs before you step into a lift at home or office.
  • Do some exercises or walk on the treadmill even as you watch TV.
  • Cut down on the harmful foods- sweets, cheese and deep fried food for example.
  • Cut down on tea and coffee.
  • Eat a few small meals a day rather than a heavy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Peope who live long and healthy lives reveal that they lived on frequent but small meals of salads, fruits and vegetables only.
  • Play with your friends or kids whenever possible for it relaxes your mind and body.
  • Pay heed to the mind -body link.
If you now feel that you have no time for exercise a day will come when you have so much time with you but can do nothing - you may be in the ICU.

- Unless it's toxic, no food is inherently harmful if eaten in moderation.
- Both tea and coffee have health benefits.
- Several small meals have no proven benefit over fewer bigger meals. Everybody should find the best way of eating for themselves.

Most of your post sounds over-dramatic and some of it is plain wrong. Yes, looking after one's health is important, but sensationalist fearmongering is hardly useful. Please stick to facts.

@san
yes i agree with you completely cause its all about our habit. like alcohol and hard drinks are bad to our health but still every medicine contain certain amount of alcohol and other toxic stuff in controlled and limited quantity.

Cut down on tea and coffee.

I agree follow your points. but this one stuck everybody here. Because as far as I know everyone either can't live without tea or coffee so it hard to quite.

For tea lovers green is a good options but for coffee "No option".
