Great job Bep!
I think we need to get everyone in here energized. No matter where you are now, we're all going to the 100s (and some people are going farther down in the 100s). Can we brainstorm some ideas to get us excited about this again? Am I the only one that feels like this club has the potential to be a great motivational tool if we just use it well? I have an idea, and you're allowed to hate it if you want (or not) so just tell me what you think of it. Every week we talk about some topic that could help all of us. We'll read someting, get in discussions, try to help & contribute so that we're all successful. I'll start (and I may be the only one if you don't want to do this. That's fine with me, I'm just trying to get more out of a club full of people with great experiences in trial and error!)
So, I'm picking this week's topic, and I think it should be great successes we've had in this battle & how we've achieved them. I would say my greatest success since I seriously started trying to reduce my weight has been my rededication to exercise. I go in spurts, and when I spend a month straight exercising at least 6 days a week, I lose inches. The numbers do crazy things occasionally, as we're currently seeing in my weight, but I have definitely lost inches, and in the end I guess that's what will make me happiest anyway. I don't always have much time, but my 2 mile jog takes me 25 minutes (I'm working on getting faster) and it's still making a difference. Plus the little bike rides here and there and the weight lifting (which I need to do more of, but I'm getting in at least 2x a week). I've been battling with this for years, and it's always when I'm most serious about exercise that I really see results. Sometimes I don't even reduce my calories that much. Always 2000 or less, but last year I spent several months when I had the extra hour doing additional weight lifting and eating 2000 cal. per day and I lost a noticeable amount of pounds AND inches. When I couldn't sustain that workout level I had to cut my calories too, but for me at least, exercise has been my biggest key to success. Once I stopped fighting it, I felt much better about it.
What have you done that has really made a difference for you, either recently or in the past?
