Hi Onederlanders! Sorry, I have no news to report, except that I can't motivate myslef this week, so I'm still stuck.

Hey OneHotMama, and welcome! I'm 6'2" and I picked a goal weight that's 14 pounds higher than yours, but I'm never really sure about my choice, so I thought I'd ask how you came up with 175? I like to be a little more muscular than your average "lean" woman, so I figured on a few extra pounds, but I don't want to set my goal to a too-high number. The reason I have no idea what to pick is because I've been overweight for my whole adult life and have never had a normal "healthy" weight since I grew this tall. The last time I weighed anything normal was after Nutri-System when I was 15 (which is a dangerously low calorie diet with weight loss that is not sustainable once you're off the 600 calorie per day diet), and that was 157 at 5'9" - and 15 year olds don't have much muscle. So here I sit, not having a clue how much I "should" weigh. It's probably better that I'm going by feel, but if you had some advice on your goal weight I'd love to hear it.

I'm 6'1 and big boned...I am a size 12 right now...me at 175, I will be a size 10 and that's about as small as I can go with my frame. I have a lot of muscle mass (I played college volleyball for a while and have been weight training forever). It is all based on your bone structure. Some people our height can weigh 150 pounds and look good. I would be skeletal at that weight. I just want to be tight and toned. People can look good at nearly any weight as long as they are proportionate and toned. I picked 175 because it's a realistic goal. Will you most likely look great at 189??? Absolutely. Could you go down to 180?? I think that would be realistic as well. However, if you feel good about yourself @ 189, then let it be!!!!

I finally reached my goal of 199. Well, 199.5....thats close enough! It sure is great to see the needle under the 200 mark. Its been a real hard couple months for me for weight loss. Making a huge goal makes up for some of the challenge. Only 20 more lbs to my goal weight! I thought Id never get here. :cool:

Hey guys. I weighed in Saturday morning at 175 pounds! A five pound loss! That means I have two more weeks to lose 5-6 pounds and reach my goal of 169! :) The Memorial Day weekend really hurt me BUT I'm going to recover. I just wish I wasn't so dang sick.. :(

Hooray & Congratulations Moabnut! I'm so proud of you! I'm dying to get to 199.5, even if it doesn't seem like I'm trying that hard. That's fantastic, great work!

FYI to all my onderland friends, I'm still at 206-ish, I keep teasing myself with 205, but it's not sticking yet,:( and I can't get decimal places, I've got one of those old fashioned scales with a needle. I'm gonna lose at least a pound this week. I'll only be around 4 days, and hopefully I won't screw it all up on vacation this weekend.

We'll see!

Missprincess...I have the old fashion scale too, but if its somewhere in-between I will call it 1/2 I only do it for important #s like rounding between 199 and 200. For some reason those two numbers are very far apart from each other.

Redneckwoman. My new goals are 189 by June 10th and 180 by July 1st.

OK I joined the Memorial Day - Independance day challenge, and set my goal at 1.5 lbs per week. That makes my new onderland goal 198 by July 4th. I'll need all the help I can get staying focused. I bought some chewing gum to keep myself from mindlessly snacking. It's worked for a whole 12 minutes now. :p

HotMama, I don't think I have any messengers, but I'm not very computer savvy, so they tend to scare me :rolleyes:. I'm sure I could weigh less than 189, but I'm also fairly large framed and definitely more muscular than most of the women I know, so I would rather revise my goal once I get down to 189 than set it at 180 and decide that I just can't get there.

I want to try to be happy about this and not feel like I've failed. I haven't failed. I've been at least 70 pounds heavier than I am now, and I'm never going back there. It has taken me years to slowly get my weight down to where it is, and I know I can get it down a little lower, I just need to push myself, and sometimes a push from friends doesn't hurt (hint).

ok, now that I'm back I need to join in somewhere so I have someone to be accountable to. I'm now at 245 so I figure I can get to 199 by November 9. Hopefully it will be sooner, but that's 2 pounds a week and since I know that's a healthy goal, I'm not going to push it. I'm hoping for oct.9. That's 2.5 pounds per week. I know this goal is way after everybody else's, but I'm sure as time goes on more people will come in so I won't be alone.
