Has anyone tried AdvoCare for weight loss?

I have a few friends from high school that have advertised it all over Facebook and being in the wellness industry I did some research on it and the company. Obviously, it works quickly, but losing weight AND KEEPING IT OFF is a lifestyle choice not a fad. I actually recently starting selling Juice PLUS+ after being on it for about 6 mo's. I've read a lot about how my health and wellness is tied directly to my diet, so mom was right, you are what you eat.

Honestly, I was very skeptical about AdvoCare until watching all of my friends have tremendous results from their products! Recently I began distributing it and honestly I have never seen such incredible results with weight loss and health. I constantly hear how amazing people feel after doing the 24 day challenge as well as how shocked they are by the inches and weight they lost. I would highly recommend purchasing it through a distributor and giving it a try!

Bumping this. I'd start a new thread, but there's no point with this one existing. I'd like to hear from people who've actually used it--NOT distributors--who've seen results. I have a friend on FB who's trying to sell me this stuff and before I plop down money for it, I'd like to hear from others. Specifically about the Spark drink mix in the Energy line and the carb blocker in the Trim line.

A lot of distributors / spammers turn up on forums and they do not always post their direct adverts straight away... I would be very wary of believing all that you see posted.
Before trying anything - you would be well advised to google such things as "x side effects" to see what was posted and do a bit of research to see whether it flagged up anything. I saw some postings about this and "advocare rash" which I would review if considering such a thing...
Remember - your FB "friend" is trying to sell you products. As such they will earn commission on their sales to you (as does any other salesman). I would google "advocare commission" to see the nature of their business relationship with the company. For instance - in a quick check of the internet I noted that they could be pocketing 40% of the money that you pay... This would make them keen to sing the praises of the product... They also get huge bonuses on top if they do well!!!

Once you reach AdvoCare Advisor level you can earn money in 4 different ways!
1) AdvoCare Retail Commissions
As mentioned above, once you become an AdvoCare distributor the company provides you with your AdvoCare ID and your very own personal AdvoCare website. Anyone that you send to your site that orders AdvoCare products becomes your customer and you get paid between 20% and 40% depending on the distributor level you hold. These customers do not need to sign up or join AdvoCare. They are simply buying the great wellness products at the listed prices on your site. They have the same option you had of paying the distributor fee to get the 20% discount and can do so directly from your page.
2) AdvoCare Wholesale Commissions
Once you reach Advisor status, you earn 40% on retail commissions, and you also earn wholesale commissions on sales from any distributors on your team that have yet to reach Advisor status. So if a distributor on your team that has qualified at the 25% level sells $100 worth of AdvoCare products, they get their 25% and you, the Advisor, get the remaining 15% (or $15 in this example) of the 40% commission. This incremental revenue adds up as your team grows with additional distributors improving their lives and the lives of others.
At this point, you might be thinking that the most ideal scenario is to have a team full of people at the distributor level and that it isn’t beneficial to encourage your team members to qualify for Advisor status, which they can do at anytime by meeting the requirements for that status; that is not the case. While it is true that once a distributor on your team reaches Advisor status you will no longer receive wholesale commissions on orders from their team, the good news is that you are now eligible to earn money a third way with your AdvoCare business… Overrides.
3) AdvoCare Overrides
The model of a direct sales company is to encourage word of mouth sharing and personal marketing about your positive experiences with the product or service. AdvoCare is no different. Growth comes from developing Advisors who love the product and their improved health and fitness who then want to share their success with others. Overrides are available to Advisors that have at least one Advisor on their team. You earn up to 7% of the Business Volume (BV) that Advisor generates for 3 full levels of customers and distributors associated to your Advisors. As you can likely see, if you have several people on your team that reach Advisor status and then grow their business, this 7% override can add up to significant monthly earnings. I understand that they're making money as distributors (she even tried talking me into signing up to be one for the low *sarcasm* price of $79; I told her if I tried out a couple of the products and they actually worked, I may become one then), but I've been fighting both fatigue during the day and insomnia at night and wondered how well the Spark drink mix works. She says it works well for her without giving her the shakes, jitters, or a crash later, but I'd like to hear from someone who isn't keen to make money off me to see if it actually works.

I was introduced to AdvoCare a little while ago. I do like the Spark for energy. Someone I know gave me a sample of it to just try and when I tried it I had energy all day. I have bought more and enjoy it, but right now I'm trying the 24-day challenge. I needed a "push" to eat healthier and the only way that was going to happen was if I had invested money on a product and since I already liked the spark, decided to give it a try. I'm almost half way through it and actually have lost some weight by eating better and I'm not craving junk as much anymore so I'm hoping by the end of it this will be almost no junk cravings so I can continue to eat healthy.

ajw, how much of the Spark do you drink in a day? And does it give you the jitters/shakes if you don't drink it with/around meals? The girl trying to sell me it says 2 servings (which only makes two 8-oz glasses) per day--one in the morning, and one around 3 PM is what she does. The container makes 42 servings, IIRC, which is a 21-day supply for two drinks/day at $51.95 (kind of steep, consider it doesn't even last a month that way). She says it doesn't have any negative effects, but she is a salesperson. I'd just like to hear from customers and their experiences with it before plopping down fifty bucks for something that may do the exact same thing as the cheaper Hydroxycut I use for energy.
Omega, I'll try that out. I ate a large ribeye steak for lunch yesterday and eggs, ham, cheese, and yogurt this morning. But if I should try a protein boost before bed, I'll give it a shot as well.

Excuse me if this sounds stupid, but you're using Hydroxycut, which is chock full of stimulants, you're looking at another product which contains stimulants, and yet you're surprised that you have trouble sleeping? Additionally, Hydroxycut itself has as one main side effect tiredness and fatigue, which usually gets people to take more of the stuff, and then be unable to sleep afterwards. Vicious circle.

I'm looking for an alternative to what I'm using now as far as keeping me awake during the day so I don't nap (that way I can sleep better at night). I only take the Hydroxycut once during the day, usually when I start to feel tired. It's no where near bed time when I do. And because it has the nasty effect of giving me the jitters and a bad crash, I'm looking at an alternative, a better alternative.

I know a lot of people get their "caffeine fix" from these two, soft drinks, or other energy drinks like Redbull and Monster. I just do not; I don't have any desire to drink any of that stuff. I've read that Spark is supposed to be mixed with water, I drink zero-calorie flavored water anyway--ergo I'd be most likely to use this method to get my energy boost.
Some people don't have the same problems I do, and they probably wouldn't understand. I've always had problems with fatigue during the day, even when I wasn't as active as I am now. I can't tell you the last time I had a solid night's sleep. It's been years, probably over a decade. I have a four-year-old I have to keep up with who, coincidentally, has decided she doesn't want to take naps like she used to. I know I'm not the only mother out there with this set of circumstances. But I've made a major lifestyle change in my diet and how active I am, why not work on how I sleep, too? So I'm looking for help; my doctor has given me some, but I still need help with the rest.

I wasn't assuming you would take them both at the same time to be honest. I think I just do not get the concept. The stimulants in stuff like Hudroxycut do not just work around the time that you take it, it stays in your system for much longer than that, up to 12 hours.
I have a 13 year old, non-functioning autistic child, chronic excruciating pain, and a medical condition which makes it almost impossible for me to sleep properly at night. The most I have slept in the past 6 months was about 2 hours. Usually I wake up every 20 -30 minutes. And even if I do sleep, it's restless and I wake up feeling worse than before.
Recently I have been unable to drink coffee due to stomach problems, so I don't get the caffeine fix that I told myself I need to function (which I don't, since a cup of coffee really has no measurable effect). Which means I am incredibly fatigued and tired during the day. I can't take naps, there is simply no time for that.
Yet I would never even think of taking something like Hydroxycut or related things.
For one thing, they are dangerous for your health. The list of side effects is as long as my arm, and that's rather long. And it would make absolutely no sense, since those things will just make the problem worse. If you're suffering from chronic fatigue, then there is an underlying health issue which needs to be looked at. Energy boosters aren't solving the problems, they are creating more, and add additional ones.

A number of weight-loss pills are available at your local drugstore, supermarket or health food store. Even more options are available online. Most haven't been proved effective, and some may be downright dangerous. So if you are thinking of buying any weight loss pills or supplements, it's highly important to do your homework before you go to buy over-the-counter weight-loss pills. Read labels and talk with your doctor or pharmacist. Also be sure to check the FDA website for alerts about safety concerns and product recalls.

San, with the problems you yourself have, then you should understand why someone with similar issues would want to try to help oneself. Why are you knocking someone trying to find a solution for their own issues? At least Omega was actually helpful in providing medical-written articles to achieve a better sleep.
It's not like I'm on here asking for a weight loss supplement--we all know there isn't a miracle pill out there to shed the pounds, otherwise no one would be obese. You don't have to preach to me on that.
Instead I'm looking for something completely different--something to keep me awake and alert during the day instead of giving into fatigue and taking a nap which makes sleeping at night not as restful and rejuvenating as it could be. I have gotten help to give me a more restful night, now I'm looking to solve the other part of my problem: feeling sleepy and completely out of energy halfway through the day. So far all I've found is the Hydroxycut that gives me what I'm looking for, but with, like you said, sucky side effects, hence me looking for an alternative. That's why I've been asking consumers (not distributors)--who've actually tried the product--about Advocare's Spark drink mix. If others who've tried it say they crash several hours later, or feel shaky or jittery with energy, then I'll move on and look for a different solution.
