Hand Weights

I have got two hand weights, each with 2 2kg weights on, so 4kg in total each

Whats the best program to do with them and how often to build my strength and muscle definition/toning?

And which methods to lift them?
Just straight up and down so many times or lift from side upwards etc.

you need more weights, i think 4kg are even too light to do much endurance. how many curls can you do?
 
Im not sure, i only messed around with them the other week for a few days. I think i was doing about 20 per arm. I think i only did one set aswell and then did various different lifts with the weights
 
yeh you need heavier weights so you can only do about 8 reps for each set. then do about 3 sets before you change to a different exercise.
There are tonnes of dumbell exercises on the internet, just search in google.
