Thank you all so much for the kind comments!
When I first started, I sort of had a defeatist attitude. I didn't think it was possible for me to lose weight because I had tried it all before. Therefore, I just made small changes and began feeling the differences in the way my clothes were fitting. I didn't even weigh myself until about 2 and a half months into my weight loss when I really started seeing results. It finally propelled me into realizing I could actually lose weight, and it made me want to try harder.
Basically, I cut down my portions A LOT, and I changed foods in which I ate. I eat around 1,000-1,200 calories a day. I have a bowl of some type of healthy cereal in the morning (I prefer without the milk, just plain dry cereal). I eat a lean cuisine for lunch (love those things), I have a piece of fruit as a snack sometime throughout the day, and then some type of lean meat and veggie for dinner.
As far as exercise goes, I didn't even start exercising until about 6 months into my weight loss. It hasn't been as big of a part of the weight loss as the change in diet has. Even now, I only do about 30 minutes of cardio/strength training a day. I'll continue to increase my activity level as time goes on.
