HI,
Thanks for all the visits, sorry I only have time to pop in for a short update. We are in the final push at work and I just have no time for anything. At home hubby started to work on the house again, so pretty much i end up doing anything around the house.
I am still going to the gym just like before. Not much to report, 0.6 lb loss which was kind of surprising since I wasn't so good with portion control over the weekend.

Hey Haj!

I so need to get a scale that is more accurate. I almost bought one yesterday, but then I thought mine is working perfectly fine there is really no good reason to replace it.

I'm doing odd jobs around the house too - we have a lot of projects going on and since we got new windows in Nov., I haven't had time (or the good weather) to completely stain and finish them. So that's my job for the rest of the week since I'm on "spring break". I will need a break after this week is over.

I'd take any loss - soo good job on still working out and chugging along!

HI All,

Sorry for the long silence, life just took over and I also needed a break.
With the good weather we are working on our house seems like a never ending job, also at work there are big changes which gives me plenty extras to do.

I did not abandon exercise... there were weeks I only worked out 3 times but generally i still work out about 5-6 times a week. lately I am getting up again at 5.30 am to run 2 miles on my treadmill and up until 2 weeks ago I faithfully went to the gym to do my boot-camp twice a week. Unfortunately now that does not fit into my schedule anymore which makes me quite sad. So I run 2 miles in the morning and time permitted I do either 30-40 min strenght-exercises after work, another 2 miles, or make the gym if possible. On the weekends on Saturday I go to the gym for over an hour and Sunday i run 4-5 miles in the near park.
Eating is another issue.... I am not as dilingent in keeping with my calories as I was, hence the 3 lb gain. I recently started keeping track of my calories again as I don't wish to gain anymore. So back to calorie counting, unfortunately that is the only thing that works for me. I am now eating around 1500-1600 calories, on the weekends it is more like 1800-2000. I think that is great for maintaining but if I wanted to lose I need to reduce it. We will see, I am in no rush.

WELCOME BACK!
Missed ya!

I too have been working on the house- there are lots of calories to be burned in that dept! lol

Hi Hajni!

So glad you're stopping in again.

I've not been as faithful with my posting either, but it's been really busy for me and not really anything to report.

I haven't been counting calories, and for some reason for me it's working. Of course I've been at the same weight now for a few weeks. Hoping to break into the 150's soon!

I was exercising like crazy and mostly am still getting it in at least 4 or 5 days a week, but not like I probably should.

Nice to see you around. :)

Hello,

Well the 3 lb gain was a lot easier to lose than expected. Unfortunately not the good way, I am just so stressed out that I hardly eat for days. there is a lot going on at work right now which takes up all my time and energy and sanity as well. I hope it will slow down soon. The food I managed to eat is healthy though so no worries. I do still run my 2 miles every morning and if for some reason I can't or I don't I make up by doing one of my home DVDS at night. Exercising is now a part of my life, even that I don't have (much) weight to lose.
I gotta run.
Hajni

Well wtg on losing those 3 lbs! I wish mine would fall off like that. ;)

Exercising is now a part of my life

that's awesome! It's not a chore, it's part of your lifestyle, and new healthier lifestyle! Likely contributed to the ease of your loss- your metabolism kickin butt!

:hurray:

Where do I start...

No exercise for the last 3 weeks, stressed out, too busy, sick with lyme disease, eating like a pig...

I did not dare to step on the scale this morning, yesterday I took a peak it showed over 150..

Started a new 6 weeks challenge with a collegue this morning, goal is to lose 6 lbs. We'll see.

Back to running as of this morning, only could do 1.25 miles though.. pathetic.

Still taking antibiotics and still aweful tired.

That's it for now.

next time will be good news.

Awwww Haj
I know how you feel. Well at least about the lack of execise and the eating thing.
I too fell off the wagon for about 6 weeks.
Which when you figure in how long we have been going at it is amazing that we have kept this up for this long.
I know that you can get back on track you have before.
I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Ok, it is time to stop complaining and just do it!!

Woke up this morning feeling sorry for myself, my pants are tight, my belly area took on its on life...so I am back.

Realized that moaning about it will not do any good so I just started figuring out my meal plan for the week, it is all done, anywhere between 1400-1500 cals/ day.
As for exercise I will not wait till tomorrow morning, I am going home and running 2 miles and do my 20 min turbo jam.
Starting tomorrow, every morning 2 mi run and afternoon another 1 mile run + strenght-training which will be either turbo jam, or pilates or my home-style boot-camp.

I have done it before, I know I can do it now, I just have to put my mind to it.

Hoping to lose at least 6 lbs in the next 6 weeks.

Hajni

There is no stopping you, Haj! Once you set your mind to it, it gets done . . I have seen it and admired it. You have the tools and know how, it's just a matter of time now.

Sorry to hear you havn't been feeling so hot. Hope you are back to 100% soon!

HI Yarmiah, Bella!!

I am looking forward sharing the journey again. Just remember gaining a couple of lbs back is not a defeat just a stumbling block on the road!!

Still 8 more days taking the antibiotics. I still have most of the symptoms and according to dr, I still will even weeks after done with medication. Lovely.

Well, first day so far so good. I ran my 2 miles, did my 20 min turbo jam.

I do accounting on the side now which requires me to work after 8pm (when my DD is in bed) and I have to be at work by 6.30 am. I am determined to still run my 2 miles, so I just have to wake up 30 min earlier.

Did very well with food and cooked two different dishes for the rest of the week. Baked tofu marinated in p.butter and zucchini quiche.
I came to 1493 calories today. I will try to keep my calories around 1400-1500.

Well for the first day, it turned out to be good, many more like this!!!

Ok, so far so good.
Got up at 5.00 am this morning and completed my 2 mi run. A lot slower than I do in the afternoons but completion is what counts!!
My today's food :
-Breakfast : oatbran cereal, banana
-Snack : no salt cottage cheese
-Lunch: zucchini quiche, apple
-snack: peach, jello pudding
-dinner : baked tofu, salad (no dressing), plum, steamed veggies.

Comes to 1458 cals.

Plan is to get home, run 1 mile to warm up and do 30 min of butt-ab work. I have two DVD's which both have 5 10 min sections of ab-work or butt-work, so I can pick and choose what I will do.

Slight change in my schedule, didn't do strength tonight. Just ran another 2 miles.
Total cals burnt 440.

so I am about 680 cals deficit today. Sounds good. If I keep that up I should be losing 1 lb/week.

I don't have to be early at work tomorrow so getting up at 5.30 to do my morning run!!
