Gym workout

I work out at the gym about 5 days a week. I lift only twice a week. Is that considered to be too little for toning? Should I be lifting 3-4 times a week?:confused:
 
Yeah, 3-4 times would benefit you more. Also be sure to keep up with cardio (I recommend High Intensity Interval Training) to burn calories and maintain a healthy, well-balanced diet.

It totally depends on your goals and current stats. HIIT is not for everyone. I'd caution you jumping into it unless you know you can handle it.

Toning means you are reducing body fat to show muscle. Or increasing muscle and reducing body fat. Either way it is a result of lower body fat. Typically lifting heavier weights (not necessarily more often) will yield better results, but only lift heavier weights once form is down.
