Gym competition

Myself and 3 others are thinking of starting a little friendly competition evolving working out and and gains/losses and other types of stuff.

My question is what way do you think is the best way to do this so its even and we can actually see results that can be recorded.

The 4 of us very in size: 250,6'0; 160,5'8; 200,5'8, 240,6'1.
We are all have very different body types and only myself and one other have played sports.

I was think the best think to represent over all improvement or failure is body fat % and body mass. Even with the weight differences i figure those dont lie?

Any advise? Thanks!

Hmm.. that's a tough one man.

One choice that I would try is to do weight improvement (in bench, squat, and deadlift, or what not) Times (new body weight) / (starting pt body weight).

what do I mean; for example. Starting wt of 200 lbs and benching 200 lbs. After 3 months, body wt is 190 lbs and benching is 210 lbs.

formulate dictate: (210-200) x (200 / 190) = 10.5 improvement.

This way, those that are losing weight will get higher score and those that are lifting more will get higher score. It's for improvement measurements only. If you want, you can add multipler for weight loss or str. improvement.
