Guideon's diary of change

@Sun thanks, I'm pretty proud of what I accomplished (so far)

@mrVee I've been a pretty avid NFL fan since 10 years, and this will be my sixth time at the Wembley game, so I pretty know what to expect.

calorie count 18-06
Total: 2228

19-06
Total: 2242

Tomorrow afternoon BBQ @ work, so workout in the morning (another day in my running schedule).

Thanks Mystic!

I must be crazy, was already running @4.45 this morning :ack2:
Wake up at 4 o'clock, for some reason and couldn't get back to sleep. Was planning to go running at 6, but why not go earlier?
Only me and birdies were up (and some drunkard trying to find his way home).

Pretty good run as well, my heart rate doesn't "peak" as much as in the first two weeks, nice flat heart rate profile while maintaining a very decent pace.
I'm really getting into this running.

Also weigh in this morning (slightly earlier than normal :) 0: 203.4 lbs.
Slowly I'm creeping towards the 200 pounds.

I guess you can call this weight a mini-milestone of some sort, it's the lightest I've been this century.
But I won't celebrate until I'm in "one"derland.

Great before and after pictures! You can totally see a big change in the after pic. You're looking great! Keep up the good work!

Sometimes waking up and not being able to fall back to sleep can kind of be a blessing. Especially when you decide to say the heck with it and get up to exercise. That's happened to me a few times and getting that very early exercise in seems to set the tone for a great day. :)

Thanks everybody for the kind words, really means a lot to me.

No calorie count yesterday, bbq at work so kind of difficult to guesstimate the cals, but it's safe to say it's a bit more than I should have had. Not from the food as much, did a good job of staying away from the baguettes, and did only have a few pieces of meat, but the beer, oh the beer....

Oh well, I'll have another Insanity workout tonight (luckily it has cooled off quite a bit here, when I did an Insanity earlier this week I kept having to stop to mob the floor, to prevent me from slipping in the pool of sweat on the floor), to work it off (a bit :D ).

Thats awesome!

I purposely didn't cut beer from my diet when I started, I didn't mind giving up fastfoods, chips, sweet, smoking etc etc but I'm not sure if I would have been where I am now had I given up alcohol. I probably would have fallen off the wagon completely and been back where I started or even worse.

Sounds like beer to you is like soda to me. I did it in reverse though. I gave up soda before I really started to exercise. I still have some from time to time, but nowhere near what I used to. I used to have anywhere from 3-6 cans a day at my worst to now having maybe 2 or 3 a month.

These 4 past years I used to drink a bottle of soda everyday ( 2 last years was a soda with stevia instead of sugar tho )
But I'm done now, after 4 years it was really making me sick literally.

They should put that on a t-shirt: Beer is my soda.
I'd wear it :)

I don't drink Soda's anymore either, just water. Almost never have a beer at home, always is some sort of social setting, like a bar or at someone else's place.

Another bike ride today, 40 km. I really notice a difference in my fitness level compared to a year ago. Used to die on my bike on windy days like today, but now I'm getting higher avg speeds even when riding into the wind and my legs don't feel like someone filled them with acid. Makes the bikerides even more fun, specially when doing the second half of the ride (wind in the back :) ).
