1st day

thank u chick. well this is my 1st day n i have woke up in a good mood so lets hope it stays that way n i manage to keep to diet. think 1st week is always the hardest xxx

My son was born in May. After the initial weight loss from giving birth and the following couple weeks, my wife is losing about one pound per month. With our first child she did the same thing and eventually got all the way down to 121 pounds.

Even if it takes a while, you can do it! Good luck!

ooooooooooo how did she manage to loss weight. im just cutting down, only haveing a treat on sat and going take up walking just a mile at 1st. just want to be slim again n quick xx

You have a lot of stuff on your plate atm so its absolutely fantastic that you have managed to get this far. I'm certain you can reach you're goal weight by Nov! I'm looking to be what you are now by then so fingers crossed mebe we can hit our goal at the same time! ^^ NOTHING WILL TASTE AS GOOD AS IT WILL FEEL TO BE MY GOAL WEIGHT ( I don't like the word skinny hehe). I keep telling myself that and imagine myself in a sweet two piece bikini. We can do this!
I have serious cravings for chocolote atm (this being my 2nd day) I am just snacking on grapes and bananas and drinking LOTS of water. It has helped to be honest. To keep me distracted I am on here. :)

you have to do it! i agree with you! and you know what? you have to do it for YOU and for your BABY. your November goal is temporary, and I'm pretty sure after that you might still go back to old habits... but your child will be with you for a long time -- you'd want her to have a healthy and happy mom =) you can do this!!! everyone here is behind you! do the change today... keep us posted! we'd love to hear about the steps you are taking to make that change ^_^

i find it very hard not to pig out when 7pm comes along and my older lad goes to bed. finding tho today writing on here has hgelped me think and stay focused.
hope every one else is doing well and having a gud day.
Wednesday my lad starts school so from then im going start walking with baby in pushchair straight from wen i have took him. going to start at a mile but want to do a walk rd the whole villiage which is 4 miles. hope i can build up to that in no time xxxx

Hey sounds like things are getting a little easier. I would like to add dont think of it as "being strict". I know when I was hard on myself I just crashed and burned. This has to be a longterm integration if you want to maintain it and with so much going on in your life (I admire you for that) its almost TOO easy to make up excuses. And you are right, you dont HAVE to stop eating the yummy things (bloody hell I could NEVER give up the things I love completely) and its really great that you are watching your portion sizes. As for the hunger pangs after 7pm - snack on fruit or veg that isn't so high on calories. (Dinner for me used to be around 9-10pm) like grapes and cucumber and drink LOTS of cold water! Soon you'll be a running mother, I see plenty of groups with babies in pushchairs, wearing their jogging bottoms and running down the road I love it! You'll do it in no time. Good luck keep us informed! :)

Honestly I think weight lifting helped my wife lose body fat more than anything. I don't mean to disrespect her in any way but she really doesn't push herself very hard at they gym. However, she is pretty strong for her size. She has always just done light to moderate intensity cardio for only 20 to 30 minutes at the most. Maybe two or three times per week.

However, she has made a decent effort with the weight lifting at times. On a good stretch she would lift weights with me maybe three times per week for about 40 to 50 minutes each time. We used to alternate between upper and lower body weight lifting. Never real heavy but heavy enough to nearly fail on the last sets. She never got bulky at all. Just very toned and lean. I really believe that weight lifting is the single most effective way for a man or woman to lose fat and get that toned and lean look most of us are after.
