Today is September 21, 2006. Yesterday I weighed myself and I'm at 192.
The last two days I have walked. Tuesday I walked for one hour (3 miles) and Wednesday I walked 90 minutes (YAY!!) - 4 miles. I am very proud for that one. Today so far I did some butt and thigh exercises (leg lifts) 1 sets of 30. And I also did 2 sets of 30 stomach crunches at home. I'm planning to again go to the gym and walk another hour this afternoon. It's amazing, 2 days of walking and I can walk without my legs rubbing each other. I feel so much better after that exercise. But then I had breakfast this morning, so like I said I've got to hit the gym to burn that off. I had two eggs, 1 1/2 piece of sausage, 1 piece of bacon, 1 pancake with fruit and a small cup of yogurt. That's alot huh? Oh well. I tried not to eat the whole breakfast at IHOP.
I've also decided, as much as I hate to waste food (lol), that I will always leave some food left on my plate, maybe 1/4 to 1/2 of it. That is the only way to do this.
I'm just starting, but I'm very excited. I've realized that I really enjoy exercise. It really helps me to feel better about myself and my body when I do it. I'm also trying not to overdue exercise or push myself too hard. I tell myself "only 30 minutes of walking and If you want to do another 15 or 30 that's up to you". This helps me realize that it is progress that is important not perfection.
The other thing I'm doing is limiting my sugar intake, cutting out alot of those $4.00 coffee drinks and soda, and carbs. I will still eat some sugar and some carbs, but I won't overdo it. Also drink water with at least one meal a day instead of a soda.
I'm motivating myself by getting exercise gear. Today at Target I bought a really nice gym bag. It's Reebok and it's PINK! Perfect! i love girly things. Great for those extended workouts at the gym or just for soaking in the hottub or steam room at the gym. yay, this is cool. love this site.
