Good ab workout program

How many different types of exercises should people be looking at for an ab workout? I have read theories about two, three and four and of course many different theories about sets and reps within. I just wanted a general consensus of what the advanced people do on here.

By the way, I have decided to cut out oblique training for a while as I feel it may be developing my waist a little bit more than I want it to. I was thinking of strictly training just the middle, upper and lower parts of abs. Linking back to the original question, how many different types of exercises should be done? What about something like leg raises, ball crunches, tuck crunches and v-ups? Would this be good enough to target upper, middle and lower to good effect?

there is no upper/middle/lower its one sheet of muscle, and as long as your doing weights or most types of exercise you dont have to actually work the abs at all, they get worked doing most exercises,if i had to pick two ab exercises it would be planks, and the ab wheel roll out.
