Hello I'm just getting started on this site, but unfortunately this is not my first weight loss rodeo. When i was 21 I weight 310 lbs was able to lose 112 lbs and weight 198 at my smallest. a weight i hadn't been since middle school and i'm only 5'8" so i've been a fat guy pretty much my whole life :) well i enjoyed it for a few years and ended up in an IT position where i had to sit a lot. and over the last two years I managed to put on 70 lbs not very cool at all. I finally decided i needed a change. I quit my job moved out of a very intoxicating environment and after the last three weeks i've lost 9 lbs and I feel much much better about myself and about life. I'm looking for every why possible to keep me on my train of thought and i look forward to reading everyone else s stories. successes and failures :) good luck to us all and here's to a better life. :)

congrats on making those changes that will move u in a positive direction. i know IT can be a stressful environment to work in, too. if i may ask, what kinds of things do u do to stay motivated?
cheers, kate

To stay motivated I look back at my reasons why I'm doing what i'm doing. I've written them down and posted them in places I know i can see them, especially in moments of weakness. In the mirror, on the fridge, in the fridge, in the care. on my phone. Just anywhere i can think of. also have pictures of how i used to look, keep the desire of wanting to be healthy like that again.
but I find though as long as I keep eating healthy and stay active i stay pretty motivated and down run into a lot of week moments ya know?
What about you?
