Getting frustrated

I'm 23 and been going to the gym for 8months, I'm 5'4" and weigh 167lbs and Ive lost 6lbs
I do 3 hours a week of fairly good dance cardio, weights with my PT twice a week for 30mins and Yoga/pilates twice a week.
I eat fairly well, I eat fruit and veges, lots of protein, whole grains. Probably averages out at around 1800calories.
However, Im not losing weight! Ive even stopped losing body fat!

Does anyone have any suggestions of how to start losing weight again? I don't really want to eat less...

it's ok you shouldn't eat less than that anyways..what you should be doing is increasing the intensity of your workouts. run longer/harder, lift heavier weights, all progressively of course..then give it a month and see if anything changes
i'd count your calories for a week also, just in case

Hi Sarah and welcome! :)

Here's my advice, fwiw. You said:

If I had a dime for everyone who told me "I eat fairly healthy" and "I'm probably close to X calories" and was wrong, I could buy myself a new camera. :)

Studies have shown that most people VASTLY underestimate the amount of calories they eat. I know that for me personally, when I stopped being strict about my food and started eyeballing it and estimating, I actually wound up slowly eating more and more calories.

I would suggest that before you make any drastic changes, the first thing you should do is register with one of the sites like fitday.com or thedailyplate.com and start logging your meals. Really measure and weigh what you eat and log it for just a week. I think you *might* be surprised. :)

Honestly it sounds like your exercise is pretty good .. so you should be losing weight. I would bet hard money that it's just that you're eating more than you think you are.

(FWIW, I'm your same height and weight and I eat around 1600-1800 calories a day [I give myself some wiggle room] and when I'm on track, I lose weight steadily. My biggest problem is that when I don't pay strict attention and weigh/measure everything, I tend to underestimate my food and then I don't see a loss the way I should. So I totally know how it feels!)

Ill give it a go, atm I read everything that has a tag on it so it 'should' be fairly accurate, but you never know! I might be not adding in something I should!

My gym opens its brand new 100% awesome new building on Monday! going to be in there like crazy! today was my first attempt at Hiit, so it might add something a little extra to my exercise

weight loss differs from one person to another due to several factors. If you have high metabolic rate, eat healthy diet and perform regular exercise, you'll do fine and lose unwanted fats in time. Don't get frustrated, your efforts will soon pay off.
