Can someone help me out?
Im not sure what the fastest way is to get fit. By fit i mean to be able to run for longer and faster, to be able to cycle at a faster speed and for longer distances without getting tired or to play sports like football and not gt tired while running.
That is fitness right? When you have longer endurance and to do things "better".
So whats the best way? Like cycling for instance, the best way to get stronger legs isnt to cycle but to do exercises with weights to gain muscle, like squats or lunges. Cycling itself is just for cardio, it doesnt really make your legs stronger.
So i take it its the same with running, running doesnt make you fitter but leg exercises will make your legs stronger so you can go faster and for longer right?
So am i right in saying that weight lifting gets you fitter the quickest way?
I want to be able to run faster and longer, atm my heart rate increases dramatically when i run for about 30 seconds and especially if its cold my lungs start to hurt. I remember once ages ago i outran myself way over my limit and i coughed blood, why did that happen?
I know that you should go at your own pace but if i can only run for about 3 minutes before im too tired that will take forever for me to get fitter.
Any advice? Its just that im losing weight yea but i think i will hit a plateau and im annoyed because im not that much fitter than i was before i started dieting, am i doing something wrong?
Please reply.
