Getting Back into the grind

Im not sure this is the right thread. Then again my topic branches into a lot of threads on here.

I am 6'3" 175lbs 16.5% body fat. Skinny frame. I used to be a runner in high school and a decent on at that 5k in 15 mins, mile in 4:30. I decided I was tired of being skinny and wanted to try to add a little mass to "fill" out. I lifted every day except weekends for 9 months. No supplements and a college campus cafeteria diet. I gained 3lbs over 9 months. But I could bench press 225, squat a lot, leg press. But I never "looked" like I could do anything. I got discouraged and stopped working out.

Ive always been skinny but had a little belly, not flat, no six pack. I just figured it was genes. Now its gotten bigger and I really want to do something about it. But I would like to see results.

What would you guys suggest??
