Generate electricity from a bicycle

Something that may be of interest:

Basically, it is a bicycle training stand with a generator. During a power outage, you can pedal to power a computer or other electrical appliance. An optional battery can be used so that you can pedal to charge the battery, then plug the computer into the battery so that you do not have to pedal to use the computer.

Its just an indoor trainer with a gyro on it. Its pretty hard to pedal at a wattage that is high enough for a sustained period of time. Definately not high enough to power anything decent.

Unless however it has an amplifier of some sort in it.
