general questions from a beginner

So I have been lifting weights for about a year now in order to gain weight. I am 178cm (5"10) and I weigh 57 kg (125 pounds). Someone help me.

First this is what I am doing let me know some recommendations.
I eat 2800 + calories per day and I have trouble eating more. I lift in the morning for about 45 mins Monday Wednesday and Friday at home (no time for a gym). I lift 2 sets of many muscle groups with weights heavy enough that it is difficult to finish.

I have been drinking weight gain powder (Weiter weight up big) for the last three months as well.

I started tracking me weight three months ago but I have not seen any increase in weight and only fair increase in muscle.

My work is a kindergarten teacher for ESL students and I would rate it pretty high on cardio work since I am dancing and high energy to keep their attention. At the end of the day I can barely walk and it has been like this for the last month.

One interesting thing is that I rarely get sore muscles from lifting but it feels like the blood won't move to my legs or arms. When I feel like this my brain is noticeably slower and it has been affecting my work.

Is there something wrong with me? please give your opinions. thanks for helping out a noob.

sounds to me like a ton of activity and not enough cals. Keep the activity level up and figure out your MT line then create a surplus. See the nutrition 101 sticky to figure all that out.

Hopefully some more members will chime in here.

Actually, the caloric intake seems ok considering his/her weight.

I'd say the quality of food here is the problem...

Can you give us a breakdown of your diet and exercise program?

How many protein grams per day? Same for carbs and fats...

Knowing you are very active at work I'd say a little more carbs should give you more energy...Anyhow we need to see it all before coming up with something decent...

As for circulation, maybe a nice massage once in a while will help you. This helps for circulation.

wow, gear replies already. I will ad more about my nutrition once I have more time. I'm off to go teaching...

Good idea about the circulation

thanks

I would have thought that at 57k and 5'10" you'd be underweight.

This weight-gain calculator (and the other tools they have here too) might be helpful, although note that they are not necessarily 'accurate' but will nonetheless give you an idea.

Would you say that you have been putting on weight over the past few months since starting your regime?
