Well here I am again. Was here a few back, lost 30 pounds, got sick, gained it back. I am determined to do it again. I love doing cardio and want to lose 63 pounds. I will be happy if I lose 20 pounds by the end of July. Wish me luck!!

I am 5ft2 and 198 pounds. I don't think it will be as hard this time as the last time since I never ever exercised before, at least now I know what to expect. The diet thing is what is gonna be hard for me, I love love love fast food. On the other hand, I also like nice clothes so we shall see.

I have attached a pic of me right now. As u can see, I carry most of my weight in the middle. I would like my top half to match the bottom LOL

Wow! You don't look 198 AT ALL!

I'm 5'2" as well and my body was very similar to that at my high weight of 150! Good luck with your weight loss!

I love your journal title. It's adorable :)

Welcome back to the forum (even though I wasn't here when you were here last). Hi!

Thanks :) you would notice it more if I turned to the side LOL People always ask me if I am preggers. I should find a pic with the side belly view.

Thanks for your warm welcome :)

Well you will definitely lose that extra weight if you work hard at it! How are you planning on doing it?

Do you count calories?

Exercise for an hour or so a day, 5 days a week and watching food intake but not necessarily counting calories - just getting rid of junk food and eating more fruits, veggies and whole grains.

So day two of the gym was yesterday and I am sooo proud of myself. I managed to run on the treadmill three times!! The first time was awkward because I don't think I had the speed quite right (it was at 7.0) but then when I increased it to 8.0 I seemed to run smoother.

Exercise

30 mins on treadmill
10 mins on recumbent bike
20 mins resistence machines

Food

Breakfast: fruit loops, 1% milk, coffee

Snack: handful of pistachios

Lunch: Baked spaghetti, half cup of blackberries

Dinner: Veggie wrap (veggie cream cheese, carrots, peppers, tomatoes, green onions on regular tortilla), baked hickory honey bbq kettle chips (wow only 120 calories for 30-32 chips and I only had about 18).

Snack: Cube of cheese, banana

Yesterday was a great food day and I am proud that I could run for a total of 8 minutes on the treadmill (not all at once but 4 different intervals). I also watched the biggest loser last night and was amazed!! I hadn't realized that their weight loss occurred in 4 months! Heck if those people can lose 150 lbs in four months I am pretty sure I can loss 30-40, maybe even more. I am also sure that my key to doing this is running. My scale now says 193.4 and it was 198.6 four days ago (I know this is most likely water weight but that's ok - I am driven by the visual results). I will change my ticker on Fridays.

Exercise

30 mins treadmill (5.0 warm up, 6.0 walking, 3x 7.5 running, 3x 5.0 at 5% incline, 1x at 8.0 running, couple recovery times at 5.0)
Ellipitical at 4 for 10 mins

Food

Breakfast: 2 pieces 12 grain bread with pb abd hiney, 4 slices cantaloupe, half cup 1% milk, coffee with milk and sugar

Snack: big handful Pistachios, small handful dried pineapple

Lunch: 12 grain sandwich with garden veg cream cheese, tomatoes, cucumber sprouts

Supper: baked spaghetti, mixed greens with cherry tomatoes, red pepper, peas, crunchy salad topper and balsamic fig vinegrette

Snack: No sugar, all fruit popsicle, one chocolate

Hello Nicole1011, I am sorry you got sick and gained back, I am sure you will keep it going this time around!! Just Giv'er!! Welcome back to the Forum. :)

Well I am ticking on. It's been about 3 weeks since I started back up and I have lost 9.8 pounds!! I am finding that I love exercising and eating healthy is not too challenging. After some soul searching I realize that it was my weekly beer drinking and fast food intake that hugely contributed to my weight gain (and lack of exercise). However, I have seriously cut down on drinking and have cut out almost all fast food (I do treat myself to pizza twice a month). Yay me!! I hope by the end of July I am 20 more lbs down. Wish me luck!
