4. Why do you want to lose weight?
For health reasons, and to look good.
5. Do you want to lose weight for a specific life event such as wedding or reunion? If so, when is that event?
No
6. What obstacles could get between you and your weight loss goals?
School, money.
7. Why do you think that you now have a weight problem?
I blame asthma, since NOBODY likes taking the blame:)D) but i honestly cannot say. I have been overweight all my life, i am very active, and i don't eat nearly as bad as many people i know. Running is extremely hard for me, i get exhausted after just a little ways of running.
8. What lifestyle changes do you think would help you lose weight?
Obviously not eating any fast foods, and not drinking cokes(3/4 there already!!)
9. Have you lost weight in the past? If so, what has worked in the past to help you lose weight?
eating almost nothing, i got very upset that nothing was working so i worked out vigorously, and ate nothing day by day. it worked but i knew it wasn't healthy.
10. Why do you believe that you did not lose weight or you gained the weight back?
I started eating, of course :(
11. What, if anything, has not worked for you in the past in helping you to lose weight? Why do you think it did not work?
Dunno how to answer this :-\
12. Would you try writing down all food and drink consumed for a given period of time?
Of Course!! That is why i am coming to this site actually, because i need advice on food. i need help with my diet, and my meal plans, etc.
13. Do you cook at home often? If so, what do you cook?
I love to cook, but it comes at an expensive price, so i do it when i can, and whatever i feel like making; and i try to make it healthier
14. How often do you go out to eat? Where do you go?
As little as possible, but when i do i goto olive garden, or mcdonalds or chinese. Chinese i love and plan to never give it up(-drools-) mcdonalds is cheap and it's quick and sometimes i'm starving so i get like a double hamburger plain, or a salad or something, and olive garden is usually a necessity on sunday.
15. What are your three favorite foods?
Chinese, Italian, and pizza.
16. What are your three favorite restaurants?
Dunno, lol. Olive garden, Chef Wangs, Subway
17. What are three things you can do differently when it comes to food?
Don't understand it.
18. If you woke up tomorrow and your body was exactly the way you want it, what would be different?
I'm not sure??? I'd probably run a lot more since i'd be in better condition.
19. Do you eat when you are not hungry?
Sometimes, but i try not to lately.(past few months)
20. Do you binge eat (large amounts at a time)?
Yes, i'm horrible at this!!! I can't break myself, because i've gotten in the habit of "No waste food!" and eat till i'm stuffed.
21. Do you hide your food or eat in secret?
Uh nope.
22. Do you eat when you are sad, nervous, or depressed?
Sometimes.
23. Do you eat as a reward?
Also, sometimes, but only for like birthday rewards, etc.
24. Do you eat while watching TV or using the computer?
Yes, while using computer.
25. What do you normally eat for a meal?
I can't say "normally" because i eat all sorts of stuff. Sandwich, ramen noodles, is only things i can say i eat religiously.
26. What type of snacks do you eat?
Fruits, sandwich. Only snacks, really. sometimes candy like a sucker or something along that nature.
27. In terms of exercise, what, if anything, are you currently doing?
Running almost every day 2x those days, working out 4 times a week, and i work as a cartpusher at the busiest wal-mart in tennessee.(lots of exercise there!!)
28. Where do you go for exercise? A local public gym? School/work gym? Home?
Around the block for running(soon to be at the gym, since i just got a membership) and a gym for lifting weights, and work obviously for cart-pushing.
29. What, if anything, are your three favorite types of exercise?
Swimming is pretty fun, Lifting weights; and that's about it.
30. What is your daily/weekly/monthly/yearly motivation to move towards your goals?
Physical appearance alterations, and compliments.
31. Do you have rewards for certain goals?
Mmm, no? Dunno, i've never tried to lose weight like this so i'm new to this.
 
Hello again weight-loss forums!

Bobby Checking in here, for September 16, 2008.

This will be my second day of my new workout plan i am going on, yesterday went great(but i'm feeling it right now for sure!!!). I ran for an hour in the morning, came back home to my loving girlfriendwho had made me breakfast. Went to school, ate on my break there, came home, ate again(haha i sound like a food monster), went back to school for night classes, came home to an amazing dinner of chinese my girlfriend had made me(she is amazing, don't get me wrong, but this week she devoted all week of stuff we are going to do together and food she was going to make me :p), after dinner i went out for my late night workout. I arrived at 11pm, waiting on my friends to get there. It was shoulders and triceps yesterday! My first time working on back/shoulders since football practice 3 years prior to this one. I felt the burn all night longg.... After my tri set workout i wrapped it up with a 40minute run(which turned out to be about... 23 minutes, i know i cheated lol). I drank my protein shake, and went home for a great night in bed with my girlfriend. I woke up at 10am this morning, because i was so exhausted!! Luckily i had the day off from school, and don't have to work till 2. When i woke up, i came down stairs and guiltily ate some ice cream that we had planned out for last night(pumpkin icecream, if you like pumpkin pie it reallly is amazing haha). after my indulgence of bad food, i went for my morning run. 40 minutes, while listening to the ignorant leaf blowers made it a really frustrating run. Came home and ate an egg, a peeled apple and eating a cup of yogurt. So all-in-all a really great day!

OH!!!

Btw, i lost 9 lbs somehow??? I am just guessing it was water weight, because in a period of less then 24hours you should not lose that much weight, right?? Well i dunno, but i was pretty excited. going to get some calipers soon so i can tell exactly how much fat i'm losing.

Today was a bit of a letdown.... i didn't run and am not working out today because it's my rest day in my routine. When i woke up and left for school, i truly felt like something is missing or wrong; and the only thing i can deduce from it is my daily run isn't there :( So maybe next rest day i'll still run, just to keep me feeling better.

I went up .5 lbs since yesterday, weighing 238.5... Granted, i have eaten breakfast, and lunch already, so i'm hoping THAT is the cause, but i guess we shall see.

if you're going to make the decision to weigh yourself every day - and for a lot of people - it's not a great decision to do - then do it at the same time every day wearing the same thing... Generally first thing in the morning after using the toilet..

BUT you're better off with bi-weekly measurements...
 
yea, i got discouraged last week cus i went to the gym in jeans, and skate shoes and a sweatshirt (genius, i know) and when i weighed myself, i weighed 1 lb heavier than i did the day before (i was wearing jeans and a t shirt, still brilliant). but, the next day at the gym, i was in jeans and a t shirt and i weighed 2 lbs lighter than two days before and i knew alot of it was because of the sweatshirt.

just be careful, and dont get discouraged by a lb or two. it could be muscle mass building up faster than fat is being burned.
 
well in the beginning of today, i missed my run(bad bad bad!! I KNOW :( ), ate a good breakfast of no fat high protein shake; an egg sandwich on wheat bread, and 2 glasses of water(along with the shake) oh and a few doritos haha. I weigh myself after the food and i am .2 lbs lighter then the day before so i'm doing something right!! Woohoo. Tonight will be my first BIG BIG workout in awhile since this new workout routine doesn't have many big workout days. Hoping for big number alterations tomorrow morning! But not too high of hopes where i will be sad...

Thanks for the input, it really does help me out when people post.

Hard day today....

A bit upset, not at a "loss" because i know it's not this simple, but i have gone up in weight again... :( I didn't get my morning workout yesterday on account of being so damn tired, but i got my massive workout at night, ate pretty darn healthy and drank protein shake after workout, went home and went to bed...

Well this morning i get up and weigh myself, 241 :(

I really expected a lower weight, or at LEAST the same, but going up that much is quite upsetting..
