for some reason, its easier to do 1 arm pushups with my left hand. and im a righty; my right arm seems stronger...so idk whats going on
hmmm great advice bro. it all sounds good.
so dip more, and try to smack the bar with my hips lol. do you actually mean hit it with my hips so i get the momentum or is it just a thing to try to do so i get better speed?
and use more weight so the bar hits when my feet land? or do i have to fix something like be fasteri wont lie i was kinda scared or the bar landing really hard on my shoulders. i gotta get rid of that
I mean less dip on the jerk, the initial dip when you are about to shoot the weight up, yours is a bit too low IMO. And you actually hit the bar with your hips to send the bar on it's way. It works wonders
the bar should land on the shoulders when the feet hit the ground, it's just a thing about timing. You can use more weight as you throw the weight higher up than your shoulders are, so it has to go down to land on your shoulders, your shoulders should just barely sneak under the bar to rack it.
It does work wonders until u start getting above 225lbs lol. Then ur hips come away bruised. But your gonna need to start getting lower and lower as the weight gets higher(this is where front squats and stability will do wonders).
If i can ill post some vid of me doing it. Im not blowing my own horn but i have pretty good tech.
I got above 225 lbs and I didn't really have any problems with my hips. Maybe a little, but if you do, you just gotta suck it up, if you get more weight up there by doing it than by not doing it, then you just suck it up and hit it with the hips.
