Forearm Problem

Hi, I've been working out for year. I was initially doing split routines, but for the last two months I've switched to Full body with 5 compound movements each workout. Although I saw come improvement overall, I didn't see any improvement in my forearm size. My forearms are genetically very small compared to average. I tried concentrating specifically on forearms but it didn't do much either. I'm bulking 5'11 and 168 pounds and currently bulking with a target weight of 175 pounds. So will I be seeing improvements from compound movements or is there nothing I could do about it, since its not a muscle ?

its not a muscle? you mean the wrist? wrist size is little to do with, its mostly bone and tendons. But forearm size you can do something with, your forearm muscles. Heavy deadlifts have helped me, without straps ofcource.

Thanks for the feedback. By forearms I meant both my wrist and forearms together. I am doing heavy compounds including dead lifts, power cleans, squats and chins anyway. But even if I'm able to build my forearms, its going to be weird having a small wrist and big forearms, isn't it ?

Actually, this is something what most bodybuilders look for when building their forearms, they want a bowling pin shaped forearm. I do not know why, but my guess is that it makes them look bigger.

Can alter the size of your wrist and 2/3rds of your forearm will rarely experience hypertrophy through training. Deal with it ectomorph :D
